I am in a chamber with a vine door. When I killed the spawn in the room, electric fields spawned in front of the vine door. The door is still closed.

Spiders run into the fields and die, the door doesn’t open despite killing the spawns in the room. There is nothing to interact with, can’t kill the fields, can’t progress.

Am I missing something or is this chamber bugged?

You walk into one of the fields which will teleport you through the vine. Haven’t figured out how to tell which is the safe one. I guess the one that kills the spider is not safe. The field will down you but not kill you(as long as you don’t have a lot of down penalty).

Adding to this answer. The one that kills the spider IS the one that is safe…
