My main issue with the chambers is that the fights occur in boring open rooms. I play an elementalist, mostly dagger/dagger, and in order to be effective, I need to use terrain to help me group up enemies and spray them with AoE. Some walls or rocks or something would also be great for defending myself from all the arrows/bullets flying around, not to mention that annoying Brawler who just spams his jump interrupt attack. Without cover, what am I supposed to do? I can’t dodge forever.

I ended up switching to scepter focus and keeping far away from the enemies, but I wouldn’t have had to do this if there were any sort of cover in the room. It’s like you’re saying play heavy armor or play ranged.

And don’t tell me to pull them into the corridor. That would be stupid because of the protector’s field of invulnerability.

All I can suggest is maybe a little tankier armor? I’ve been running it with a support warrior (sword + warhorn with the fast recharge and condition-cleanse on 4 & 5 has been pretty much a pleasure cruise through the tower) and a regen Ranger and both of them simply outlast the hits they can’t dodge. The place is very forgiving of bunker and support builds in my experience. The inescapable damage of the toxic spore debuf just wrecks glass cannons.

The protector certainly demands mobility as you have to drag targets out of its field to do any damage at all. Can you focus more CC on the brawler perhaps?

Also on the 3 portals encounter, I always kill the mobs then kill the portal and have never had more than one straggler left when the next portal appears – the ‘kill all the portals ASAP’ strategy just leaves me with a heap of enemies active all at once…

I wonder what your basis for comparison is…”

Hmm, didn’t have an issue on my Ele. Summoned Elementals to help tank (juggle them for longer fights), then just throw down Glyph of Storms, Eruption, Lava Font (plus Radiation Field, since I’m an Asura) as per my normal fighting sequence. Melts through normal foes in seconds, and if they survive the initial barrage, let the Elementals gain aggro and just give them support while attacks recharge.

As a fire spec staff elementalist, in terrible gear, the mobs are as easy as meteor shower and a frost bow #4. Trahearne combined with the constant toxin debuff is the most deadliest thing I’ve encountered in there. He’s the only enemy I’ve seen kill the NPCs and the first time I ever encountered him, I got him to like 5%, ran up to him to prep a stomp, and then he 1 shot me.
