On my Ele, I made it to the top of the tower, strapped on those diving goggles, and somersaulted off into the water below. My form was beautiful, and it was a magnificent dive—except that I didn’t get credit for it. The achievement is not registered in my panel, nor do I have a “ghost achievement” counting towards my total for the chapter. It’s as if it never happened.

My character is an athlete and puts other divers to shame, but running the thought of having to run through the third level again is going to absolutely ruin her concentration.

Hey now, if your Ele wants to make it to the Tyrian Olympics in 2016, she needs to keep training! That’s why your Achievement didn’t count! Your form was good, but not perfect, so you have to do it again!

Are you sure it didn’t count? there’s two diving achievements. One awards you for jumping from the one outside the last instance. The other one is accessed through a portla inside the last instance.

That was the problem, thank you. I didn’t realize there was a second dive.

There is definitely a bug – and perhaps on both dives. I did the platform dive yesterday with one other person in the party – mine was recorded, hers was not. Today we did the central chamber and after killing the toxic hybrid went out on the limb to take the second dive. Both of us did it – but same result! Mine counted – hers did not! And with the constant knockdowns associated with working through the third level (we have both died a lot!) neither of us is looking forward to going yet again so she can get the dive achievement!

Did either of you use the diving skills 1 or 2 on your way down? I remember reading some posts a long time ago that suggested that you needed to use either one of the skills at least once during the dive for it to count; merely letting yourself fall off the edge doesn’t count.

Also, just walk or jump off the edge. It seems that for some dives, dodge rolling off the edge can bug out the recognition, because the game tracks dive completion by seeing you start from a specific spot and hitting water. Dodge rolling might take you away from this spot before you start “falling”.

Hmm – I don’t know about whether she used the diving skills or not – will check with her. I do know that I did not use them on either dive – and I got credit for both.

I always use the diving skills during the fall, and I haven’t had any problems activating dive spots yet.

One other thing to eliminate is whether or not your friend died on the way down by hitting a wall etc. I believe that if you die before hitting the water, you don’t get credit either.

I used no skills and it worked – I wonder if being in party is an issue. I went solo
