No to sound to much like a WvW crazed player…
But can you please get the toxic guys that take down supply dolyaks and sentries out of the way or out of WvW… Too many times do I run and see a bunch of toxic guys standing over a dolyak or sentry. It should be the job of the WvW player not an NPC mob to kill a dolyak. Doing this can restrict certain supply chains such as the one from N camp on our borderlands maps if the toxic guys are not cleared on the regular.
It should also be the job of WvW players to escort and make sure their dolyaks actually gets to their destination.
Dolyaks shouldn’t have a free passage just because there are no enemy players around.
Thing is, I have yet to meet a WvW player who actually likes these toxic events, particularly in WvW. Forcing them to clear this is not the way to make people enjoy new content. Dolys didn’t exactly get free runs before this was added, either.
Both game modes should be separate honestly.
I don’t care much for slamming flags down on PvE NPCs either and based on the times I stepped into WvW I’ll agree the poor yaks don’t need these Toxic messing with them.
Heh, yeah. That’s what baffled me the most about the Toxic mobs. In WvW, where finishers traditionally existed, the Toxic guys don’t need to be finished. In PvE, where finishers DON’T exist, they do. What the heck??
Cant really comment on the WvW stuff but..
I think its quite cool to have downed enemies in PvE. Certainly think it should stay for some enemies. (certainly not all)
a) adds way to show off some cool finishers (even the temp ones).. it starts conversations.
b) familiarises players with downed/finishing mechanic
c) by denying rallies adds an interesting mechanic to be aware of.. potentially prioritising target over others etc..
d) at the moment downed enemies are not doing much damage or any specials etc.. not really healing up either but has potential to be an interesting mechanic to add some difficulty and dynamism when required.
Actually they try to heal up (at least the sylvari do). But, just like player characters, they get intterupted by a hit. If you leave them alone, they’ll get up again eventually.
