Guild Wars 2

Going by what https://www.guildwars2.com/en/news/tower-of-nightmares-guide/ says, because I’ve been gone from GW2 a long time and I see this new living story stuff.

“When you log in to Guild Wars 2, you’ll receive a mail from Marjory Delaqua detailing the current situation in Kessex Hills. Lady Kasmeer has found a crack in the mesmer illusion veiling the vile tower in Viathan Lake—and she needs your help! Find out where you need to report using the Show Me button at the bottom of the message. "

—> I got no mail from Marjory Delaqua. I did have mail from Lady Kasmeer containing 3 pieces of a trikey though.

“If you’re above level 25, you’ll be automatically entered into a solo story instance upon first loading into Kessex Hills. If you’re level 25 or below, you can talk to Marjory Delaqua at the investigation camp at Thunder Ridge to play through the instance. You’ll be side-kicked up to level 80 to experience the story.”

—> I’m over level 25, and I wasn’t loaded into a solo story instance when I first loaded into Kessex Hills. How do I get into this tower? Marjory Delaqua is not at the investigation camp at Thunder Ridge and I have no clue where this person is. GW2 wiki does not tell me the location and getting anywhere near the Tower of Nightmare is deadly.

The next patch is out, the story has progressed. Marjory and Kasmeer have entered the tower to fight the Alliance. You can join them by going to Kessex Hill and enter the tower at the places marked on the map by golden swirls. Good Luck =)

I didn’t expect it to be that simple, hah. Each time I ran up to the tower I kept getting a stacking debuff so I figured I needed some antitoxin from Marjory. Was driving me nuts..lol..

Theoretically yes. You can unlock the skill also via 25 skillpoints which is admittedly a LOT. You don’t desperately need it. When you come close to the entrances you will see machines making see through domes around them. These are antitoxin sprayers. Cuddle up to them and debuff is gone. These antitoxin sprayers were developed in the “the nightmare within” story part and since they are working now (Marjory developed the antitoxin with player help) we are now able to go into the tower, that is the story explanation =)
