Hybrid Master needing a second run
Yeah, this achievement ‘lock’ is incredibly frustrating. If players manage to do it the first run without dying, why should they not be allowed the reward for doing exactly that?
I understanding locking out content, such as at Halloween, where you needed to have done a specific instance to access a story-based achievement, but this is an achievement that could be done on the first run, with no prerequisites. To me, it just seems like a lazy attempt to make the content appear longer. You can do better ANet!
This achievement was locked into the “second run attempts” simply to try to encourage people to do it over and over, and most likely with OTHER players. Instead of doing it once and never doing it again. Also the hybrid killer follows the same path.
The second time hybrid battle that gives you the achievement has a slightly different flow to it, unless I missed something obvious. The first one the flowers slowly push you to the center, and the second time, the center was just one giant flower and i had to fight hanging off the wall. Whatever, both were fun. I dig it.

Yes, it’s different. Tad harder, but that fight I found really fun, in the “explorable” version (although not explicitly stated as explorable).
I did it 2-man. Just happened to work out that way. I dunno how it scales up or down in terms of difficulty.
Edit: Just tried it 5-man. Ludicrously easy. Doesn’t seem to scale.
