My tower experience.
Oh Xandror – the ubers will come streaming out of the woodwork telling you to L2P. I agree – this one isn’t soloable unless you’re good at taking down Champs. The best way is to find a group who actually isn’t going to run through it so that you have a good sized party at the Champs. I’ll leave the intricacies to the ubes (mostely because I haven’t figured it out yet myself).
Have you considered guesting to another server?
I haven’t experienced this issue at all. Even early on Sunday morning there were groups of players going through the tower (not parties, just groups of people moving together), but then I’m apparently on one of the most active servers, I’m more likely to be waiting to get out of an overflow than wishing there were more people in the tower.
I know it might not be ideal, but it is an option.
“Life’s a journey, not a destination.”
Why didn’t your guild group up and do it together?
you’re correct OP, bad dungeon. the optimal strategy is to kitten over other players to get your own rewards.
I’m having a lot of trouble just wrapping my brain around this update. The format of the tower is somehow off-putting to me, and part of it is that it does seem really unmanageable without a big group- a lot like the Mad King’s Labyrinth, but even harder to navigate in order to find the group.

Because we can’t be angry about both?
There are so many things you could have done about that champion:
- Get friends to help you fight it.
- Wait for a zerg.
- Get a ranged weapon and fight it.
Your lack of skill is not a reason to call this bad content. This has been one of my favorite releases so far, right next to the Queen’s Gauntlet.
I was able to run from the bottom floor to the top floor in about 10 minutes. I soloed a couple of this “impossible omg we need a zerg” events. They scale to the number of players.
Message me any time in game.
Get a ranged weapon, I prefer longbow over rifle for the AoE and might stacking. Retrait for adrenal healing and banner regen, always carry at least one banner. Equip healing signet. Now you can fight at range, and with full adrenaline, you gain ~700 health per second with a banner up.
If you can’t survive the tower with all of the defensive traits and utilities of a warrior, you probably won’t have an easier time on any other class.

The only part of this content I have to call into question is the spider queen. Her cocoon attack is undodgable, and perhaps unblockable. The only way it can be mitigated is through stability, making the spider queen nigh impossible to solo.

If you’re unwilling to even get and use a ranged weapon — at least long enough to learn the encounter, then it’s best to skip this LS.
I’ve sent up my lvl 68 thief up the tower so that it can be parked at the chest, the trick is to use guesting and overflows.
I just run through until i reach a blockage, event that needs to be completed prior progressing.
Guess over to a high populated server and check if the path is clear in that world. You can guest twice in 24hrs. If u get overflow whilst guesting and can have another try if its not already open. If path is not clear and all guesting has been used up,i rotate between the 3 worlds until I can find one with someone attempting the event or until i reach a world with a clear path.

I just tried that boss solo. WOW. I think I have a strategy, but it’s a toughy for sure. I think the trick will be using LOS to avoid the cacoon attack.
EDIT: Just got the strategy down. If you keep pulling her around the corner and use AoE, the cacoon attack will never hit you. It’s EXTREMELY difficult to pull off, but it’s possible.
EDIT: Another strategy. If the boss never gets to you, it can’t devour you. So just keep it perma snared and the cacoon thing just becomes a time waster.
