If someone can post encounters with other characters, please do. I am specially interested on Trahearne.

So far all I’ve seen that are special bosses are Trehearne and Tybalt. The rest are pretty generic mobs non-named mobs.

On another note, I’m assuming only OoW can get Tybalt, while the others get their respective mentor. Equally awful, since I enjoyed all three, but Tybalt is special, since he was my first mentor.

My friend got Sieren (sp?) of the Priory. I’ve had the Beserker from the Molten Facility and Logan Thackeray.

I don’t know if I would have fought Trahearne if I had found him inside the instance before knowing that it was an illusion/hallucination. I mean, if it was obvious from the start that it wasn’t really him, I would have no problems, of course. That’s why I want to know what he says, I want to know if it would have fooled me.
Really, if he had turned out to be evil, saying “Commander, to me” would be enough for me to happily run to his side or, if not possible, to turn around and leave the instance, refusing to fight him.

It is funny because I used to hate him, too. The sylvari personal story made me like him.

I got Tybalt in one chamber… in another Scarlet mocked me for blacking out and how that went so well last time with that charr warband.

Those sort of shout-outs to the choices in the personal story were a nice touch.

Yea so far I have had 3 separate mentions to my character’s personal story. Me being a Charr I fight Rylock, a mention of my level 10-19 personal story (honorable soilder), and Forgal (since I am Vigil). I was not expecting that, and it was an amazing touch.

I had Tybalt too and Scarlet said…

“Teacher’s pet teacher’s pet…. how dead can your teacher get?”

Was a little flustering but it still doesn’t prove she’s a good villain…. she’s just that annoying wannabe “Joker” if you ask me

I’ve gotten Zojja and Mr. Sparkles but I didn’t think to screen cap any dialogue that went on. Now i feel bad. I wonder if we can compile the special things like that.

Gotta admit, this whole thing is pretty awesome. Almost makes up for the tower being frustration x 100

Sadly, Tybalt/Forgal/Sieran was a price to pay to finally get our hands on that annoying vegetable Trahearne! I felt sorry for killing the hallucination of my teacher, but getting to bring a not-well ending to Trahearne was so worth going up that tower.

I’ve been “bluntening” my spoons for this since the beta, I can not wait to do this…

I think who you get is based on your personal story. Race determines which of destinies edge and mentor determined by which group you join would reflect scarlet making it personal. Any confirmation on this or is it just random who you get.

I got Sieran coz I joined the priory.. She seemed so sad.

Then I got Trahearne and enjoyed every moment of hurting him.

Not a personal story character but you can get a Molten Berserker from MF, which reminded me how much I liked the dungeon. Wish we could get it back without playing fractals roulette.

I think it depends on your personal story – how far you’ve gotten and what choices you made.

So far I’ve only done it on my human Whispers agent and only gotten Tybalt and Logan. And it was only after I’d killed Logan that I realised we’re supposed to feel bad about doing it.

I just had to fight Logan. That was actually a tough fight, but, I don’t think my character cries herself to sleep every night because Logan doesn’t love her as much as a silly, fat-headed royal.

I also had to rescue Petra, she was in one of the cages, but that’s the only other character from the story that I saw so far.

Yeah I’m a bit confused at the idea that our characters are supposed to be in love with Logan. Beside the fact that he’s really not my characters type (even though she did go for Alistair in Dragon Age) I never got that impression from their conversations. There was no suggestion that their relationship was anything more than professional. Friendly yes, but not romantic.

Unless that comment was directed at Marjory or Kasmeer and not specifically at the player….

And, I do agree with Scarlet on atleast one thing. I do think the queen is a silly, fat-headed royal!

This is the third time I saved you, Faren, it is not funny anymore. Alright, it is funny. I hope he is not eventually killed.

I got the Infinity Ball reference too. LOVED seeing that.

I also loved fighting Zojja/Sparkles and having Scarlet say something along the lines of “Oh, what, does your mentor not care about you? You haven’t invented anything good in a while, have you?”

These kind of personal touches actually made me feel involved in the story. MORE of this anet, please. Probably the first LS that has in any way interested me in terms of lore, simply because I actually felt like my character mattered.

I still think Tybalt is one of the most exciting characters of Guild Wars 2.
Everyone else is just … meh …

You are quite possibly right. She is voiced by Tara Strong (OH MY GOD! CAPTAIN OBVIOUS!) who voiced Harley Quinn too …

Didn’t pay attention to the cages and the names of the prisoners. Only saw Tybalt so far. But only playing on my main. So you probably get your mentor depending on the order you chose and Trahearne and the Destiny’s Edge guy from your race?

(Or do you still get them independent of your Order and race and then other dialogues)?

Got Forgal 3 times with my norn (vigil), so I think you get your mentor depending on your Order. Also, got Eir two times with my norn, too.
Still didn’t see Trahearne, though.

Oh okay. Then I need to wait for Trahearne and Logan… and then maybe trying other chars – have all races and orders covered with my chars 2-5.

Out of 7 tries 3 normal mobs only. 4 times Tybalt. Lol. That 4 in a row. Tries 3-6.

Glad to see a thread like this, I was going to make one myself had this not been here. I am really curious how the personal stories come into this.

A few things of mine that has not already been mentioned by someone else-

Rescued a ‘Wolf Shaman’ on my wolf-revering norn.
Picked “blacked out” story for norn, no screenie but Scarlet said “Gonna black out again? You sure impressed the Gear Warband last time.”

I hope they keep this in some way after the living story. Like making krait in any of their main settlements pop another tower once in a while, with a shorter antitoxin bar that lasts just a few days.

It’ll be a shame having all those dialogues and choices just for one time. I’ve done quite some chambers and I haven’t seen many of the things commented here. And I’d love to see them with all my characters. And just putting them in a fractal would not help, as it’s not easy to replay a certain fractal.

I got to rescue “Faren” again too! (Although it could be a hallucination)

Faren is probably my favorite character of all of GW2

I did find it weird that Scarlet thinks my main character (male mesmer) has a crush on Logan. At first I thought Scarlet meant a “friend” love but reading these forum posts make me think otherwise. I’m fine with it though lol. Better to be crushing on Logan then having a crush on Caudecus

For those who haven’t yet been lucky enough to get the Trahearne fight, I took a couple screens.

I don’t think this was the case with the other characters, but you actually get a ‘FINISH THEM!" prompt with Trahearne. I know I didn’t get one for Logan. I get the feeling Anet knew we’d all want to end him with a finisher, so kudos on that.

EDIT: Nevermind, I saw a screen with the “FINISH THEM!” for Tybalt so I guess it’s not exclusive to Trahearne. Oh well.

Thanks for the screens! Doesn’t Scarlet comment on anything, though? I mean, when I fought Eir, Scarlet said something like “Eir doesn’t love her Slayer anymore. Not after… you know.”
And I was thinking about that… I don’t remember doing anything that could even slightly upset Eir.

Strangely enough, no, not that I saw. Kind of a bummer. Here’s one more to show you the starting dialogue.

SPOILERS!!!!! (seriously, if you read this far into the thread, you know that already!)

The 1st line is Petra.
The 2nd line,…I’m not sure actually. It might just be a random line of dialogue, or it might be referring to your unknown parents if you chose that at character creation.
The rest is…, when fighting Tybalt. It was the last fight before completing the achievement too, and now, I really don’t want to go back into those instances and have to fight him again…

The only part that got me was when I saw Petra in a cage, because she’s actually a character I care about and it would be entirely possible for her to be there.

The rest of it made about as much dramatic sense as Scarlet telling me not to look behind myself from time to time. (Priory here, but I never really cared about Sieran, and her death was one of the dumbest things I’ve ever seen, so yeah.)
