I just came here to leave a note on the “fun” factor.

Don’t get me wrong, usually, I’m not that whiny. I sure had my issues with some of the last LS patches (Atherblade Dungeon, JP and Taco to name just a few) but this tower is just no fun at all.

Much grinding (I don’t understand people saying there is no grinding in this patch), cannot be done solo in a decent time and then the mechanics of the tower: Random fear, random plant-death, permanent debuffs, too many enemies and too many running (=dead) players, leaving a chamber instance puts you to a random overflow with mobs right on your head that beat you half dead before you actually spawn. And the price of dying and returning to lvl 3 is about 7 silver (1.5 wp, 5 golem + repair). Mobs following you so far you don’t even have a chance to regenerate.

The tower is like Orr before the overhaul. No gain just pain.

I’ve seen several guides to solo the tower but I don’t want to study to play a game. I don’t want to wait for a player mob to gather before I can play. I don’t want to grind my way to the actual content of a patch.

Yes, content can be hard. I understand that hardcore players require challenges (although I’m pretty sure they pay with gold for their gems not with real money) but please think of us causal players who might not have ascended weapons yet, who might not have a full set of ascended trinkets, who might not have gear to swap builds at will and who might be just a little bit kittentier players than the rest.

Tonight is my play night. The only time per week when I can spent more than 45min on the game. Now, I’m just fed up although I beat the hybrid (just to discover I have to do it over and over and over again) and progressed 50% through the meta. This whole evening just feels like it was some kind of work and that’s why I stop now. And usually, I’m addicted to GW2.

No, no fun. At all. Feels like work. Makes me angry. Makes me want to play something else. Or watch the latest Agents of SHIELD episode. Hey that’s a good idea, cu next friday.
