Kept trying to run through it solo, would get so far, killed. Ad nauseum. Once, only once, I actually made it. Talk about frustrating.

Until I did it right.

Found a group passing through, we went together. Kill the mobs rather than run past them. Stop at the air purifiers for a breather and killing things pulled to them. Rez each other as necessary. Work together. It was a breeze, and a lot of fun (I thought).

So far I’m enjoying the tower. You need teamwork, yet the instances you can solo if you wish. A nice mix. Well done so far Living Story Team!

Yeah, with a group actually working together it’s easy. The problem lies in finding such a group. Sometimes you get lucky. Other times, you trample dead bodies during your mad dash to the top. Everyone for themselves. Jump over the dead corpses and use the live (soon to be dead players) corpses as shields as much as possible.

I’ve made it solo with semi-tanky engineer and later with full zerker warrior (becouse warriors are still basically walking exploits in PvE). I suspect doing this with a tank guardian or elem would be even easier. Its doable for sure. Just learn the layout of the level (or keep watching the minimap) and use your dodges wisely.

Had the same experience… and some wonderfully unhelpful fellow going “LAWL U N00BS CAN’T MAKE IT TO THE TOP ALONE, dumb***es.” while doing nothing to help or get a group. Charming person there.

But then a large group came and passed though. The commander made sure no dead were left behind, guided us through, explained the clean air and cleaning and every last one of us made it to the top to do the final instance after having fun getting there. That was awesome… but I fear that’s not going to be the majority of experiences.

My experience in a nutshell, and I’m one of those dead bodies because I actually try to fight the enemies or raise other people like some kind of idiot.
