I thought that once the tower was open, that it would be the leading manner to acquire spores enough to buy the recipes and keys and so on, but other than the pre-determined event nodes —which seem to be on slower timers and of equal reward as outside--, the mobs inside have just as terrible drop rates as outside the tower.

Honestly I wouldn’t even bother saying things drop in the patch notes if it requires hours of farming just to see one or two drop.

Why is every event feeling like: “Get 250-2000 of x in under a month. Except you can’t, so you have to use the TP. You don’t have gold? Go without or buy gems.”

Fighting from bottom to top yielded me 21 spores last night. Didn’t do any side chambers. Seemed pretty good for not champ hunting.

Easier to just farm for gold and buy them off tp.

The end instance with the hybrid nets 5 per (Not sure on first sets) and it’s a really fast instance.

The chambers also provide spores.

Not to mention all the events with their 5 per harvest nodes and the mob density/spawn rate making random drops.

Well the spores on the ground, for me at least, usually only give 1-3 spores per 5 gathered. Otherwise you have to do a spore growth event. Inside the tower I think most of the event champs spawn a gathering node on death (and it gives the same as the spore growth events outside). Plus with the higher concentration of enemies your chances of getting a spore to drop go up too. I think it mostly depends on your preference.

Oh, I don’t know if you PvP at all or not. But if you do (and don’t care about glory) you can spend glory to get 5 chests/day (750 glory per chest) that usually just give you spores or finishers (with a rare chance at the recipes).
