Here’s my predicament:

I can’t stand to play any other race besides Norn. Norn male, in fact (I’m not really into playing female characters in general).

Humans? Look absolutely puny and girlish, even the most muscular option.
Charr? Love the looks and four legged run, but 2 legged run looks too slouched and like the undead from WoW
Asura? Little rats… way ugly.
Sylvari? Love the looks.. but really hate their run animation..

Is anyone else feeling the same Norn love that I am? Currently my character screen is FIVE MALE NORNS!

Yeah I love norn as well, but I always play female chars. Norn women are awesome, there’s no way around it. Each time I try to make a human female I get annoyed at how scrawny and weak she is. Norn gals feel like they can take on the world and look good doing it.

I have played all the races. I prefer the Norn as well

All of my characters are norn. Love them! I tried makign a human and sylvari as well, but little interest. No interest in charr or asura. Something about their culture, hoelbrak, the spirits, heavy drinking…. love it all.

The male norns can look a lot more cool and can have weathered faces which is a nice change of pace from the girl human men and super modle female norns

If you want your character to look like a real man or a real woman, than Norn is the only option available. Humans all look like teenagers.

I have tried numerous times to vary up my alts but… I just cant.

Human: Puny, feminine and revering the spirits of the wild is waaaay cooler then worshiping six gods…

Charr: Weird cat thing with horns… and i don’t like playing “beast” races in games.

Asura: Made a max height Asura that i was happy with until the first cutscene and combat dialog was heard… deleted him immediately

Sylvari: Plants… no just no. Same as human animations as well (which I hate)

Made a Norn as soon as i picked up the game because Im a huge fan of Nordic culture and Norse mythos. Tried all other races since then, none lasting for more than 10 mins.

Go Norn or go Home!

I have a female norn warrior. I had a sylvari elementalist but I deleted her and made a female norn ele. I guess that makes me an addict. The only thing I find a bit disturbing is that both of my norn females have exactly the same voice. So after 63 levels of hearing my warrior’s speech I now associate that voice to a tough warrior. So it seems quite odd coming from an elementalist.

Got a female Norn ranger, rolled a Human elementalist but really like the Norn. Most likely using Norn when re-rolling a different profession. Norn all the way!

Norn ftw. Love all the references to Norse mythology. Garm was an epic find lol. Eir Stegalkin runs around with the hound that guards the gate to Hel! All the other ones are just awesome. Not to mention the armor options and towering over all other races. Yes.

when i first got the game, i was planning on making one from each race. the sylvari and asura were quickly deleted, and i didnt even make it past the charr creation screen lol. norn all the way!

Vikings are awesome! If I could play a dwarf I would have been a dwarf…since they are like vikings only around my length xD(1.73 metres tall, F yeah)

Norn are awesome!!! and so intimidating…i start playing Norn recently…i like them so much i dont wanna go back to my puny lvl 80 human

with your picture…i was able convince my friend to play male Norn XD

i wish they will bring a race-change option into the shop, so i can change my last toon to norn, too, hes too far lvled alrdy and has both professions on 400 alrdy so i dont want to start over, if they bring this option, all my chars will be changed to norn once i have seen all races storylines :p

also snow leopard is simply > all other elites in wvw and solo pve, used right its a 100% survival option even in worst cases when facing an entire enemy zerg, and it makes exploring in orr so easy for all classes (except thieves who alrdy have stealth)

The lore drew to me to the norn, not the look at all.

Unfortunately there too many comparisons between norn and humans which I find sad and a little annoying. But really I blame the developers for this (well mostly), as most just see norn as ‘big people’ when really they shouldn’t be.

I’m not an alt player at all, but I have two norn currently. I only really play one.

My character screen… Is 5 Norn.

Tried making a human, but they look… Strange (Also most human females I see look to be plastered with make-up to a “Hookerish” degree)

Won’t touch no darn tree-elves.

Charr annoy me, both their looks (Which I guess are okay) but also their attitudes, what with being primarily military (I despise most military’s not only because they seem to be quite dim (For example: Most plans are lets kill things. Why? Because kill things that’s why) but being trained for both the Army and the Marines when I had little desire to join the military left me bitter about the whole thing)

I also don’t fancy playing Asura, too much time in WoW made me dislike the “Short” race in MMO’s (Ex-Gnome player…)

Which leaves me with the most awesome race to play, awesome personal stories, awesome questing areas (Aside from some very annoying enemies at low levels (Icebrood Wolves and Ice Balistae)) awesome lore and last but not least awesome looks.
