Guild Wars 2

I made my first character a norn warrior, and now after seeing all the nice racial utilities other races get (30 second 3 condition removal racial from human, like what?) I regret making my stupid cawl owl and summon wurm norn. How are racials even balanced? Yes I know most racials dont matter, but the norns are so far below the other races It makes me wonder why Anet hates norns.

ACTUALLY, “Call Owl” is OP as heck.

Especially for warrior. You just have to use your brain and figure it out. lol

I think you need to look further into all the racials before saying that they’re completely horrible. The Owl and the Leopard are pretty good elites in terms of usability and profession. The Leopard can almost guarantee an escape with the invisibility and charge. But I will agree that some of the other transformations could use a tweak.

I don’t know man, there’s a lot of merit for call owl and Snow Wurm is one of the better summons all things considered. The three 10 point transformations do leave something to be desired (mainly the lack of being able to move while attacking), but Snow leopard is very useful for quite a few situations on quite a few professions.

The only real disadvantage I see the norn having as far as racial abilities is the fact that four out of the six are elite skills and only the 30 point one is terribly useful at that. The two regular utilities however are on the higher end as far as racials go. I mean compare call wurm to the sylvari seed turret, same recharge but the wurm is far more durable, mobile and deals far greater damage.
