I’d like Norns to have the option to hide chest armor, in the same way that shoulders and helm can be hidden.

I want to play him bare chested, to show off his tattoos – rather than being wrapped up in the heavy robes all the time (he’s a Mesmer).

I don’t think this is too much to ask for Norn (regardless of profession).

To be honest, I don’t think this will ever happen in GW2. It would be silly, to say the least… But I can understand that you want to show of your awesome tattoos though.
All T2 cultural chests shows a fair amount of skin, mainly around the belly area for females. For males, the arena fighter style lvl 80 exotic chestpiece is pretty good for showing of tattoos.

I think you should be able to hide any part of your armor.

What I would gladly want to see is maybe that when you shape shift as a norn that the tattoos that you chose are also seen, so you can be a kitten tattooed rampaging animal!

I kinda like the idea but I also don’t, MMO’s that have this feature usually result in most players running around half naked, which looks stupid though humorous. But I can understand why it would be appropriate for a Norn due to their nature. But as stated there are some armor sets out there that show a lot of skin.
