Did my first jumping puzzle as a Norn...
always been like it, you get used to it after a while but i wish they would add first person view like they had in guild wars 1…
Honestly……….I find the fact that it basically turns it into a first person view makes it much, MUCH easier to finish for me
Max height female norn btw
I did all the launch puzzles with my full height/max muscle norn warrior with huge shoulder pads.
It’s possible. Consider the extra challenge of view obstruction as an extra reason to brag haha.
once you get used to it, you’ll start doing it by leaps of faith. lol.
figuretively and literally (as a Guardian).

I got past that one on my Norn by basically looking at my feet while making the jumps.
As a Norn with 100% map completion and did a decent amount of the jumping puzzles…. you might as well get used to it. I felt the same way at first but like most people have said already you learn to live with it. I’ve found Norns have to take a little more time to do those types of things comparing to other races because of their size.
One thing I found at first is the appearance of the stride of the norn seems slow and lengthy but in reality its the all the same compared to the other races. You will especially notice this if you have played a decent amount of time with a different race.
It will be something you have to factor in while timing your jumps.
There are some fractal maps that will give you some troubles as well so practice up before you head there What works for me is when your camera zooms in like that make sure what ever mark you are trying to hit is in the middle of your screen.

I go back and forth between my Norn and Asura characters with jumping puzzles. It did take me a while to adjust to the camera glitches and what not with the Norn characters, but I’m only slightly slower doing the WvW puzzle with the Norn now than I am the Asura.
My advice to all Norn trying jumping puzzles: Be an Asura.
I don’t mean re-roll, that is silly. Obviously you are awesome because you are Norn. But those sneaky little guys do have one advantage in their minuscule size, which makes jumping puzzles much easier. So how does one act like a Norn, think like a Norn, but look like an Asura?
Sinister Automatonic. These little gems drop from CoE and most people, upon getting one to drop, curse and throw it on the TP for a few copper. Stock up on ’em.
This is a quick and dirty fix to the camera problems that plague all norns, that I will use these things until a real fix is implemented.
Jumping puzzles make my Norn cry. I have, however, gotten much better at it, you get used to it. It’s possible, just much more difficult in the puzzles that have limited space. In these, I simple zoom in as far as I can and you can see your feet again to judge where you are for a jump.
Just might try Brannidus’ little trick but so far it hasn’t been too bad, just a lot of guessing at how much you need to jump.
I laugh at all of you saying that norn are terrible for jumping puzzles!
Sure positioning exactly where you need to be is hard and norn glitch like made through walls.
However as a Mesmer I have a safety net in my portals!

Am I weird? I find my Norn (max hight/size/male) the easiest of my characters to do puzzles on. Most of my other characters are human.
