Female MUST be bigger in the character select (like the male)

she’s barely taler than the human male. I really wanna se this change. It cant be too hard can it? and it’s rly bothering!

Norn were scaled down for game mechanics. But she is still a full head and neck taller than human male.

Even the smallest norm woman is pretty big. Your problem is that you don’t have a relative comparison when making her, so you don’t actually know how big she is until you stand side by side with someone else.

i run a max size female and i often see male humans with the same pauldrons, and they’re actually larger than mine….

Character select uses a relative scale. We ee it especially prevalent with different races, but it isn’t a representation of actual height cmparison. it’s only there to see your characters details. So it serves it’s purpose but if you want to know how the different races comnpare, use the heigt chart.

yes. But keep in mind that norn have been scaled down twice due to game mechanics. I wouldn’t use this as a typical lore resource. But for the purpose of this thread, it gives an idea of how tall out characters will be at max, min and med height.

lol. Barbie + slight abdominals is still a barbie (now where are you seeing bulging biceps??) next to her male counterpart, the hulk. kitten, I train girls with bigger arms than a GW2 norn woman.

When I bought the game and started to choose my race/profession I was told races have no racial bonuses/ penalties. So I chose a norn because they look so awesome.

Then when I started to PvP I realised this is just not true. Being a norn I’m always the first targeted when the team is together in a point, I have a chance only if there is a male from my race. I don’t complain or something I’m just telling there is a racial penalty for being that big.

There are enough threads on PvP section of the forums stating that Asuras have this advantage in PvP to be very hard to be targeted especially if they are necromancers. Till with the height there is no some other bonus (more power for example), there is no reason norns to be bigger.

I wish they actually HAD racial bonuses. Would make the game more realistic. And, I could finally punt a lil Asura across a map!

Well, in real life we only have one race: human. And we got “normal” people so tall as 2.20 m and so small as 1.50 m. And, if you look for some extreme cases (people abnormally tall , towering at 2.70 m, and people very small , with a bare 54 cm), then you can see the great variety that members of a race can have.

So, isn’t really too frightening that the “tallest” of a “small” race can be taller than the “smallest” of a “tall” race, isn’t it?

No, not frightening at all.
Just an interesting observation on a topic that /isn’t/ all anger, rage, bile and venom… unlike so many other threads in these forums…
