Shape shifting
Yes please! I use the Charrzooka on my charr engineer and the 180 sec cooldown is just right, I can use it in big fights and it’ll almost always be ready again by the next one. If norn transforms were closer to that cooldown I’d use them a lot more.
The shapeshifting are the most awesome racial elites out there. It’s also annoying how all but the Snow Leopard roots you when you use autoattack.
Anyway, I love going into into Snow Leopard or Bear and charging that crazy +2,000 yards distance, either to escape a zerg in WvW, chase a poor enemy or just outrace your slow friends.
Nothing beats going into Bear form, you make that ferocious charge at some poor oblivious sod, and just when you hit them and you know they’re crapping their pants, you can see your character think “OUT OF MY WAY, SCRUB!” as the Bear-like character flips that unfortunate poor individual up into the air, screaming, and then tumbling a few yards away, pants all soaked from that terrifying event.
That, my friends, is the power of Bear.

I don’t even have a norn character and I think the 240 sec cooldown is completely out of proportion. The shapeshifting was originally one of the core racial identities to the norn beyond the parties and brawling, a major selling point. Guild Wars 1 even made a huge point about it. So why is it so kitten and unwieldy in GW2 and why don’t NPCs ever take advantage of it?
Between this and a home instance that’s just one big room without any features or even basic privacy — I thought the norn prided themselves on solitude? — they seriously need some love from the devs. : \
