Just like the title says…
I am finding this a big issues for both male Norn and humans…Being a guy with really long hair in real life really puts me down to see that I can’t make the same for my in-game character.
Norn are known to be tall Vikings, I expected them to have a large variety of long hairstyles compared to other races. The lack of long hair and long beard really puts me speechless.
Clipping is not an issue for me. Why can females have long hair and males not? All male hairstyles so far barely even reach shoulder-length. We don’t even have a decent ‘’pony-tail’’.
Please ANet, a single long hairstyle for males would really make me happy, and I bet many other people too.

I totally agree and support this. The lack of long hairstyles for males is truly ridiculous. Only female Norn apparently have the right in this game to have long hair, “who knows why” -.-
Among all the lack of features in character creation, this is what I find the worst.
Clipping can’t be an excuse. It doesn’t stop female Norn players from using long hairstyles, I don’t see why my male human should bother instead. I’d pick a long hairstyle that bugs through shields and armors rather than the ugly short hairstyles we have available at the moment. Don’t hope to see any more money from me for hairstyle-makeover kits until this will actually fixed because it’s worse than a bug.

I truly don’t care about clipping, and like you said, I’d pick the super buggy/clipping long hairstyle over an ugly ’’short’’ hairstyle.
I want my male character to have that old-school warrior style, to look like a real warrior, not a ‘’fancy school boy’’ with modern hairstyle.
Adding a simple, unkept long hairstyle for males would be amazing. It makes characters look even more kitten in my opinion.

….There are several hair styles for both male norns and humans that go past shoulder length, but I do understand the want for better long styles (current ones are a little lame), especially a decent ponytail.

No, they’re not. They’re based and inspired by Norse culture and language, with a dab of animalistic shamanism – if they really were Vikings, they’d be raiding settlements, laughing at monotheistic faiths about carpenters and quaffing mead.
Don’t let the Hollywood version (horned helmets and all) get in the way of truth.

Also, ANet will proooobably release more hairstyles after another year and they’ve got nothing better to do (you know, like game balance and such).
