They’re a race of hunters that focus on passing on their life through their legacy. So a norn is all about doing great and impressive feats, the harder the feat, the better succeeding is.
They pray to and protect the spirits of the wild, spirits that represent the different animals that exist through the world. The main spirits for norn are wolf, raven, snow lepord, bear, and owl. Owl is dead but died fighting Jormag while the other 4 led the norn out of the far shiverpeaks and away from Jormag’s reach, to where they reside now. The spirits are very real, as they have been observed.

You follow the spirits and protect them. You are seeking to make a legend worth telling. One that brings dignity to your people!
when i think Guardian only Wolf and Raven come to mind and maybe Bear, but snow leopard feels more fitting for a ranger, thief or mesmer

Norn guardian can have elements of all. It’s up to you to decide what quality your norn guardian relies the most on.
Are you the sledgehammer or the tripwire?
The thoughtful strategy or the tireless sword-arm?
The crushing avalanche or the drowning wave?
There are Guardians that fit into either category.

Nit-picking, but Guardians are not like Paladins. They don’t wield ‘divine’ magic, it’s more spirit magic for a chunk of their abilities. They don’t have moral codes or restrictions either (though most tend to be decent people anyway). They are similar in the “Magic using, heavy armor warrior who tends to be protective of allies” :P
Cunning or Strength (in this case) both fit a Norn Guardian.
