Eotn was awesome. The norn storyline and history were great! Also… if you haven’t read “Ghosts of Ascalon”, there’s a fantastic Norn character in it named Gullik Oddsson. After reading that book and hearing that Norn was going to be playable, it was a no-brainer.

you would be correct! the only things that aren’t the same are the eye color (cant seem to tell what color it is), and maybe the face and skin color. other than that, the dye colors are as close as i can get. thanks for noticing!

edit: spent 8 gold to get another kit, so i think i am a lot closer this time. i think i might leave it like this…

lol the only thing i notice different was skin color…but i wasnt sure which one was Eir…my guess was base on Garm being on the left…so her master Eir was be the left one lol :P

Because Norn females are absolutely gorgeous. Perfect bodies. Strong. Powerful. Mature and beautiful faces. Less anime than the human females.

the female norn voice acting is abysmal though. sounds super butch. (as in lesbian)

Because Norn women look like women, not little girls. They also have far better hairstyles than human females.

for me i made a female norn thief i made her mid size not to tall or too big she has a nice bounce to her : ) i agree the voice over didnt need to sound so man-ish sound like if the person doing the voice was trying to hard ? i would use more of a relaxed normal lower voice only example i have is airs’s voice she sound tough with out to manly over done

And I tried a human ele in the betas. Loved ele (still my main). “I CAN OUTRUN A CENTAUR!” every time I gave myself swiftness (about every 15-20 seconds.) pretty much cancelled out any nostalgia for the human voice acting (the only thing making me even consider not-norn for my main).

I choose a Norn as my first character because, I just finished playing Diablo 3. I wanted to start with a character that I always do, I played as a barbarian in D3. This being my first MMO, I wanted to start something I’m somewhat familiar with.

Thought the shapeshifting ability was going to be great. Too bad it’s not. Only racial I used was the worm for an extra body to soak up monsters.

Because its a culture that thrives on Nature, Drinking, and Fighting like manly men.

Also ‘cause after playing the original GW and going through all content i felt Norn’s matched me better than anything else.

I love their spirit of adventure and “just do it”-nature. They clearly enjoy every aspect of live, something that is very admirable.
Besides I like their, looks, abilities (being able to turn into an animal is freaking cool), humor and personality.

I thought I’d be able to shapeshift for a long time not 30 sec lol, if I knew that from the beginning I would’ve just chosen human. Wish they lower the cd to 30, it’s not like it’s actually that useful. It might even help lowbies enjoy pve.

Norn females just make more sense than the human twigwoman. The only thing that looks better on humans is that they look a bit less sluggish when running. We should simply be allowed to run faster than he other races tbh (charr as well, especially on all 4s).

You know it was the damnedest thing. The face model they used for the males looks exactly like a family member of mine. Adjusting the eyes and features made it spot on.

I even showed my brother when he was over for a visit not telling em before hand and he asks what program I was using that I recreated his face on. So of course I had to choose the race as a warrior lol.

Damnedest thing ever. Oh ps, the old man says the games got good taste.

Because I wanted to play a humanoid and it was either Norn, girly boy, or girly leafboy.

I also liked the interesting mixture of Native American and Norse culture. I also love snow.

And for me sylvari an norn was the best combo.
And since I already had a sylvari necromancer I made a norn range ^^

I like the Norns but I think they are a little too tall. I would have liked if the Norns just had been some underrace to humans who were a little bigger or bigger then them. I think they went too far with the size of them. They don’t fit in the lore, I think.

Because the Norn women are the most beautiful representations of women I have ever seen in a video game.
