Good step in the right direction!

World 2 Zone 1 is now fun on normal mode! Thank you so much for fixing those buggy water spouts and spin flowers!

World 2 Zone 2 how ever. I think every one I’ve run with wants to take the eagle shortcut in favour of skipping the arrow traps of death sections. Still needs work.

World 2 Zone 3. Other than how unforgiving it is when you miss a jump and the length of the zone. I’m undecided whether it is enjoyable or not yet. The troll-nanas are the new monkey. The Storm Wizard fight is amazing though.

W2Z2 is still horrendous.

W2Z2 is fine, just pay attention to your surroundings and avoid dart traps. Once you learn to look for them, it’s a breeze.

Also, people run the eagle shortcut because he literally skips the entire stage. Would you rather have a 20 minute run or a 5 minute one?

I will say there is one small fluke with the “rapids no longer do damage.” I managed to get stuck by rapids into a wall and no way to jump out (particularly right beside the checkpoint after the raft), just constantly knocked into the wall. I eventually had to reset the level completely, because of no means to escape. Of course, this is one of a time thing I think though.

I definitely appreciate the flower jump pads change though. I have had trouble with the jump pads and zephyr sanctums lightning pull since the whole jump pad has been discovered. Rubberbanding and hitting some invisible wall/falling mid jump. The set path makes it a lot less frustrating that is for sure.

The geysers felt strange at first, but considering you want to make it a little less buggy for latency and otherwise its a “nerf” I accept. I did have issues with the timing never lining up on my screen (ie. spout showing up, but on the server side its actually down). So I do appreciate the need for it.

Say it’s a breeze and then op to skip.

…Wut?

The issue with World 2 in a nutshell is that while all the mechanics where more or less fun and interesting… the complete experience is too long, too much fun at once is bad for you.

The rapids and geyser’s would have probably been fine as they were probably, if there was no latency on internet. Although, I think that with finicky aiming (turtles) and so long as the geyser section was what was done to it was probably the right call.

The spinflowers being on autopilot is welcome (since they were somewhat random) but sad because it makes the bear cave not much of a secret and limits their potential. Hopefully they can implement/fix them properly for the next round of SAB (same goes for geyser’s as a mechanic but shorter bursts with “half way points” feels more appropriate for normal mode imo).

W2, Z2-3, both too long but mechanically solid, liked all the puzzles, and the “shortcuts” in zone 3, after “solving” a section, were nice…. hope they keep that up.

If they could change dart traps to knockback and damage over instakill I bet many would find zone 2 to be way less annoying I think. If not then make arrow traps bit more prominent at long range looking for them is bit tedious (ie. if the trap that kills you is off screen, or the camera is zoomed too far out).

The goat & lights puzzle (zone 3) was bit weird, since it can essentially solve itself if you get lucky after a while.

Yeti, was frustrating, spam jumping with no breaks is no fun only to be knocked back to repeat the same slow climb again, if there was more to the climbing than kitten the spacebar then maybe it wouldn’t have been as bad. But as it is now, the yeti should be burned alive and forgotten.

Storm wizard was fun, but ironically easier than the yeti (which was “harder” for all the wrong reasons).
