Then don’t craft one. I for one am very happy it will not be able to be bought/sold on TP. People always want the easy/quick way. The game is clearly playable with only exotics, as it has been for a year. Ascended would just be icing on the cake. If you want a few more stat points and damage, then you will craft one. If not, no harm done.

Nope they will also drop in dungeons, champ bags, from wvw, fractals and all the other new places which ascended mats will drop.
Another thing. When they drop it will be a specific weapon but you will be able to choose the stats like they showed in the livestream.
