Baubles that drop from enemies and or are dug up by a shovel don’t count towards the achievement. It is baubles that are already out and found in the chests that count.
However, in world 2 I am not sure if baubles from minibosses + treestamp count.

The only baubles that count are the ones out in the world and the ones in chests. Dug up baubles, baubles from broken items and baubles from enemies do not count.
