I just ran through and completed the master of baubles for world 2 zone 3. Has anyone else here done this?

WiLdJeSTeR, this is the only difference i saw in guides.

If you got the achievement, then I believe you’re the first in this topic

Same. Unless one of the baubles causes us to fail, I don’t see how he got it. Does this need to be done on normal? How about no continues? How about someone run it with a different toon? I may do that later tonight just to see.

Oh yes I ran it on normal mode btw. I did this twice in infantile with no success. My txt file I was just typing up as I was running through. I think I put down everything but I’m not certain. I will be running it again in the morning to double check it and then fix anything I missed.

Guess I’ll run it on normal real quick and see. So you ran it twice on infantile getting the same baubles without success?

well if his txt attachement is the same as the whole written guide from Murphy, I guess Im doing it on normal then :/

I switched to normal mode but Im pretty sure that it had nothing to do with getting the achiev. I was missing the last yellow bauble all the way up by the bananas. I grabbed that one when I was in normal mode and then finished getting the achiev. Was just coincidence I think.

you followed this guide? and didnt find another bauble somewhere that wasnt listed here?

Since you have to kill the boss to get the achievement, it may have something to do with other bugs like not properly awarding W1Z3 tribulation completion achievement that I’ve seen someone complaining about, despite having waited at chest until timer runs out.

Doing it on normal did not work. Will try on another toon. If no credit then I’m not going to do this again until I know it’s fixed.

same here didnt get it after doing it on normal mode :/, not doing this till we got a full guide for this achievement

Ran through it collecting all 41 (42 with the blue bauble in the distillery at the start (hicks)) blue baubles, the 1 green bauble, the 13 yellow baubles, 2 red baubles and 6 purple baubles on Normal mode, no achievement. Are you sure you got the achievement, WiLdJeSTeR, or are you confusing it with something else?

I don’t mean to be insensitive, but could you post a screenshot of the achievement page to show us that you did in fact get the achievement?
Also just ran through this on normal and no reward.
I noticed your notes reference things out of order or mention clouds while you did this on normal. You may have not logged the information correctly, if you did get the achievement….or it’s bugged…or you just trolled us good

Especially me since I created a new toon, geared it up, and almost through the run.
realized I skipped (I think I did I couldn’t remember so assuming I did) a purple bauble behind frozen water fall in first section…doing it again brb.

Did it on new toon and it still failed.
I filed a support ticket so hopefully I get a response from them about this.

Just did another run by the numbers to make sure I got everything we have already found. No dice thanks for filling out ticket Ayrilana, I’ll do one too. Was hoping these posts would be enough, but good call.

Oh, and in case someone thinks it may be related to hitting the Continue screen, on the Normal run, I made sure to never run out of lives. Just to rule that out as well. I did still buy a few keys to save myself time though, so I haven’t tried exclusively opening the chests with the keys that drop. I’d find it extremely weird if that was a requirement anyways.
Edit: Also in regards to the suggestion above about everyone with the issue sending in a report, please don’t. Although I don’t work for ArenaNet, I do work in support for a different company, and if there’s one thing we somewhat dislike, it’s to get tens-hundreds of tickets regarding the same exact issue, because it actually slows us down in resolving issues/bugs with the need to reply to everyone’s individual inquiry. If one person report it and links to this topic, that should be enough, just write in here that you experience the issue.
(edited by Absconditus.6804)
I did a run with only dropped keys, so rule that out.
Maybe the bug is related to the chests they removed. When I first did zone 3 on the first day, I found a spot where digging would bring up a chest with some baubles, I went back there after all these patches and the chest is gone.

Digging out something shouldn’t count, at least it didn’t in all the other zones.

Nevermind the chest is still there, but just on normal mode:

So you’re saying the chest is there on normal mode without having to dig for it? When I was doing my extensive search of the zone, I was doing it on infantile mode. If some things are not included in that mode then I like missed it.

its a dig spot, i actually found it too (and on trib mode!). the chest is daily account bound.

I’ve never seen a chest dug up before. Does anyone (who isn’t already sick of doing this) want to verify that the chest doesn’t count for some reason? I’m 99% sure it won’t but then you never know…

Dig spots have never counted for bauble count achievements.

im absolutely positive it does not count. the chest graphic is new to sab 2.0 and replaces .. well… adds a notification that you have actually found a special dig spot that will always be there, is not random, and (now) is 1x per day per account, with more bobbles in it than you can normally dig up.

So we are back to square one with no one able to get this achievement

y only 1 player claims to have it done, but no pics, so it didn’t happen.
I don’t think the ticket will make much difference, if Anet wanted to confirm it’s working or bugged someone would have already answered on this post.
IMO i think they are having a blast as we run around looking for baubles like headless chickens :P
Well.. I spend a few hours on looking for the missing baubles but to no vain.
Can we get developer to verify if this is bugged or there are indeed more baubles?

Can someone confirm if this yellow bauble next to the raccoon guy is in any of the lists posted in this thread. I can’t seem to make out if it’s in there or not. :S

Nah I kid, that was Photoshopped and is a clearly fake. So seriously anyone get any luckier with this achievement? I am surprised we haven’t heard anything from the devs.

TM Mode doesn’t work either. Now that was a PITA to do.
I duno, that is a fairly well done Photoshop. But I don’t look at them too often, so not sure what to look for other than extreme jaggies or mismatched alignments/tones.

If you look at the tips of the “M” in Master, you’ll see he cut part of it off.

I think at this point, we can chalk this one up to being bugged…unless a certain developer could check to see if the guide did in fact cover everything. If so, he can outright tell us it’s bug, and if not, a hint to find the ones we’re missing.

I’ll be honest. Spend about 20 hours looking around this level. It’s lost all fun and excitement of exploration about 10 hours ago. I’m done with this achievement unless someone posts a completed guide or some help is provided from a dev. Though honestly I’d be happy if a dev gave us no hints and simply said “XYZ number of players have completed this achievement” so we know it’s possible. After the absurd amount of time I’ve spent looking for this I really feel like it’s a bugged achievement and don’t feel like wasting any more time on it.
I just want these lost baubles to know….
Once this is over, I think we can all stop after 10 hours like Andrew ><

Same, I feel this specific achievement requires a developer to actually give us some feedback. They don’t have to say exactly where we’re missing something, though a hint would of course be appreciated, but at least let us know if 41 blue- (42 if you count the distillery one), 1 green-, 13 yellow-, 2 red- and 6 purple baubles are all of them or not. It’s getting really frustrating and annoying, to try over and over, without any confirmation if it’s bugged or not.
Several of us have spent hours upon hours looking for weird out of reach places. I’ve even fallen below the map at points, where I had to get killed by a bunny in order to reach a checkpoint again. They also seem to have re-used a lot of assets and not rotated them “correctly”, since there are some places I have found my way into—far, far down on the map, where I found holes in the sides of the walls, though they’ve been completely empty (and impossible to get out of without a bunny-death as well). So holes up high on some walls that I’ve previously considered as a potential solution, are likely just that, re-used assets and nothing more than that.

Area 1
There’s also a secret in this area: if you continue along the left wall, you’ll come to two Gatekeepers (closed mouths — you’ll learn to recognise them) in the wall. The rightmost one won’t open from this side, but the leftmost one will respond to the Gatekeeper Lullaby. Play it to reveal a passage that you can climb up. This leads through a rather convoluted route that eventually takes you past some Polar Bears to a bombable wall, that leads you to inside a Gatekeeper just outside the Raccoon Stump. All that for nothing? Well, maybe there was a dig site on the way or something….
There is

Area 2
After you have them all, backtrack so that you’re between the first and second Galekeepers, and then drop off the ledge below for another [BLUE BAUBLE]. Then walk further in to drop down to a ledge that gives you a choice: drop forwards or drop left. Opening both Gatekeepers from the inside might count as individual Secrets, but for bauble purposes, we want to drop to the left.
Another digspot for 50 baubles if you drop forwards and dig before closed Gatekeeper.
digspots do not count towards Master of Baubles achievement

True.
Area 2. Finally, we reach the long climb inside the mountain.
And another digspot.

Area 3
The Summit again, and this time climb up to your left. If you look out over the edge in front of you as you climb, you’ll see another tower below you with a window in it. Drop down towards it and enter.
Digspot for 20 baubles.
