So when you added new checkpoints to the world 2 zones, that was all well and good, and for the most part they’re actually helpful, but the placement of the “new” checkpoint in World 2 Zone 2 before the section with the trampolines and pillars, is just the most trollish bit of bullkitten yet.

So there were originally a square of perma-spikes around the center of that platform – the new checkpoint gate is right behind them, such that spawning there INSTANTLY places you a couple steps behind the gate’s buttons, which is DIRECTLY ON THE SPIKES. So every single time you continue, you will die at least once instantly before you get the chance to react (moving forwards quickly after that automatic first death does let you progress). So fine, bad gate placement, but lives are pretty cheap in that mode and it shouldn’t be TOO bad, right? But wait, there’s more!

Not only is the gate terribly placed, but now for whatever reason, it OVERRIDES the happy cloud checkpoint after that trampoline section, making the 2nd to last checkpoint meaningless, and forcing you to jump the trampoline bit each and every bloody time you die from that point onwards, even after you’ve made it past that and activated what is supposed to be a checkpoint.

If I wasn’t pretty much all the way at the end this would have made me rage quit, please please PLEASE fix it, making the zone easier and in the process BREAKING it isn’t helping at all.

How about teleport not working in 3/4 of zone 3 or being booted to character select screen somewhere nearby when I tried it again.

Oh, and like many people before you I had the same problem. Luckily I’m good at jumping puzzles so my 2nd run took less than 45 mins, but wasted time and continue coins… I get you bro.

Yeah… I got pretty annoyed at that checkpoint as well. Randomly dying when you respawn is annoying, but that the cloud checkpoint doesn’t count was just awful.

This checkpoint and the cloud not working were extremely frustrating but with the infinite coin my rage subsided slightly. On the plus side I got really good at that part having to redo it every time I made a small mistake.
