Salvaging exotic items now produces Globs of Dark Matter.
Salvaging fine and masterwork items now produces Essence of Luck.
Salvaging Globs of Ectoplasm now produces Essence of Luck.

Where do we get Ecto’s from now? Will they still drop from salvaging Exotic items? The supply will eventually run out.

They still drop from salvaging higher level rares and exotics, yes. Just got a bunch.

I’m pretty sure I got some ectos AND dark matter when I salvaged my exotic.

Got ectos only when I salvaged the 2 exotics I had at hand.

Sweet. Just makin’ sure.

The real question is… do I salvage my exotics for Ectos or do I throw them in the MF to test my luck on getting a precursor.
