This silly upgrade is really way too hard to get…
I’m sittign now since hours on this stupid crap getting that idiotic song played fast enough and in the right order under super time pressure of not falling into death if I do all of that not perfect within like 2 and a half seconds coordinating also while playing the flute also the jumps to the clouds to stay alive so that i could jump at the end to theopen gate …

Really, who at the responsible SaB team has thought out this ridiculous stuff.
Why in hell do you freaking let us under such extreme time pressure (and just 2,5 seconds basicaly I do call extreme when you jump for your life to not fall down)

Wouldn#t have it been way more than enough, if we would have to go through all of these collapsing clouds and let us at least play at the end without time pressure that dumb song to reach motos finger without being scared to be not fast enough within that very short time…
Just basically 1 single mistake in the song play and ur screwed….
Would’t i have an eternal coin, darn it, i wpould have surely lost all my lives by now on that very stupid spot that requires way too much hand/eye coordination and supernatural reflexes nearly too coordinate the jumping the playing and the movement on the fragile clods corretly so, that not all 3 instantly collapse just when you arrive at that spot.

For the sake of this zone, coudl you please make the last clouds not fragile but instead permanent clouds.

That place freaks me out, never raged so much in my life before cause of my inability just to coordinate with my fingers basically 3 things at the same time and that within barely 3 seconds >.>

Please think also on all of those people, which are already a bit older or have maybe some little handycaps which don’t let people be so swift in hand/eye coordinations cause of motoric problems ect.

if you think its required then to increase the amount of fragile clouds that we have to jump until we reach the end.. fine, so be it. But make please at least the last clouds permanent to remove this annoying time pressure from playing the gate openening song and jump to the goal to get motos finger.

Anyone else having here bigger problems with getting that thing having no to little problems with the jumps, but always failing then at the end when playing the song, cause of the clouds being just too unforgiven fast collapsing letting you fall to death??

The key here is to not rush yourself. You need to stay on each platform for a second or so, so that by the time the third one is about to collapse the first one is back if you need it. Also if you rush I found it hard to jump really fast while playing the flute. A good rhythm is to queue up 3 as you’re running to the clouds. When you land on the first cloud hit 33 (just to be sure you get the song), then jump, 23, then jump again, 31. This should open the door if you end the song on the cloud nearest the door.

The jumps getting there are easy enough, and it’s close enough to a checkpoint, that you should be able to practice quite a few times without even worrying about the flute just to make sure you get the timing.

It’s for the elite skill of World 2, and what would be the last few hidden rooms if you don’t have trouble with the others. Considering you only have to finish the song to get the door open once and it stays open, I think the difficulty is justified.

I do not suggest hitting 33 on the first cloud after the channel. Just hit 3 again. I was told this before and it took me over 20 tries and I still couldn’t get it. I switched to hitting only 3 and it worked. If you hit 33, your song will be 3332331 and the door won’t open.

I don’t know if it really was only your words, but after reading them, making 1 big breath out and forcing myself to get calm after having made like 50 fails before I made it finally.
I said to myself only.. dang it, I’ve tried it now already so often with no success, always on the hurry not to stay too long on the clouds that I must have been pressured myself way too much and after taking away my selfmade pace and jumping slower and staying forcefully calm I made it 3 tries after reading your words.

Wohooo god i feel so dang reliefed now as if a hard rock has fallen from me that weighted on me

Thank you for that explanation. I didn’t realize that’s how songs work, I’ll keep that in mind when using the flute in the future. Do you know when it stops checking for a song so you can redo it? Do you have to just wait a few seconds to reset the song? If so that would explain why sometimes the song works right after the first note, and other times the first note doesn’t seem to matter (because I wait long enough to reset the song).

Grats, I’m glad I could help

Oh man, getting to that room was the single hardest sequence of World 2 for me, normal and Trib mode combined (though the sequence before the big pressure pad pyramid in Trib world 2 zone 3 comes a close second). Actually seeing the clouds was the real issue for me, until I heard about the gamma trick (turn it down in video options). But congrats on finally making it!

What really worked for me doing it in trib mode was starting my 3 on the third to last cloud before the three clouds. then 3 on next cloud and 2 on next.. only having 331 left once i reached the three cloud cluster. Even if I fell I kept pressing the buttons and as luck would have it I opened the door while falling and then it stayed open! I just ran back and jumped in!.
