So I have beaten the Wizard a few times now and I have no problems with his second form when he turns into the dragon.
But when he is in human form and starts dashing towards you I have not figured out yet what I should do. Trying to stun him with the whip did not work.
Dodging through was useless because he instantly turned around and knocked me back.
Also he is avoiding dmg while he is moving.
After a while he dies because I kill him by reflecting the hands but that can not be the right way.
Has someone already figured out how to beat him the right way when he starts dashing towards you?
Try the torch. I recall reading someone say torch, but I haven’t tried it. I’m in the same boat. I know I’m doing something wrong, but I just don’t know what I’m supposed to be doing.

Hm never tought of the torch, I even tried to controll him with my whistle^^
I will try that next time (if no one knows exactly what to do)
Just circle around the arena.

And that worked ? Running away seems wrong since he is so fast and goes straight towards you. Never worked for me so far^^
Stand at least half way away from him when you reflect the palm attack, run away. Shouldn’t have to dodge the first one.
Second rush keep running away and as he gets closer dodge into him and keep running past, typically he keeps going past you a bit and you buy some distance.
Sometimes a third pass at you requires a dodge as well and sometimes you can just out run him.
A few times he will do a fourth pass, and I don’t have an answer for that one, but it is not typical.
Going to try to get all the baubles again so will try torch to see what happens.
yeah just run around the arena in a loop. Reflecting his hands does damage to him, so if you can’t sneak any hits in, just keep reflecting his ability then kiting.
Well I always run the second he disappears and I usually have enough distance from him. If I recall, he always goes in a straight line so cut corners but not when you’re right next to him as he does auto-correct his path to you.
torch does…what? it hits him when shield is down, but doesn’t do any amazing secondary effect and only hits for 25, while chain sticks can do 50 and hit faster…?
The proper way is to probably let him chase you around. However, after breaking his shield, you have a brief moment to attack him, so by using the whip, you can stop his charge.

Now that makes sense.
First time I met him I had no idea what to do during that phase when he starts to chase you.
But then I started to run around the platform at the edge and he couldn’t catch me.
I finished him off by only using the glove on him. Never thought of using the whip on him since bosses usually escape cheap mechanics like that.
Like with the Bee Dog Queen, you can no longer stunlock her to death with the whip.

Considering he becomes invulnerable while charging up and can still kill you with palm blasts, I’d say he can’t be stun “locked” just disabled from using one attack, which is reasonable. Hopefully that was the intent.
You can use the teleport pad to try to block a charge or two. If you line up in a straight line with the pad in between, he may charge against the side of the pad and waste a charge. Doesn’t work every time though, he sometimes hits the side then moves out of the way and continues charging.
