After the first octopus feeding in W2 Z2, go until u see the first spinning flower. From there, look behind you and you’ll see a cloud to the left. Use the flower to make you jump to it and then just climb up the the eagle

I wish it had been named SHORTCUT BURD.
Also, I beleive he flies until the end of the level, but makes stop at certain checkpoints. Mobs will fly at you and try and knock u off, but the longer he flies, the farther you’ll go.

Shortcut eagle is the first thing i found when i was there.
I actually have no idea where the main path is once I get the hand item.
