Or are we intended to get this with our current powerups? I can’t figure it out.

This requires a powered-up glove. No one has found it yet (or at least if they have, they aren’t talking about it), but there is a likely spot people are looking at. Stay tuned.

That is a tier 3 upgrade in that room. We have yet to find the tier 2 upgrade. So yes. Future update.

The symbol on the block that’s blocking the door is a fist with the krytan letter P in, probably for “Power”.
There will be 3 gloves total in the final game and we currently have 1, Wisdom (making me assume that this has something to do with the Triforce in Zelda. It consists of Power, Wisdom and Courage).
The Power glove will not be in this part of the game, but it will likely be the next one to come since that block is hinting for it.

the whole game is based on the old NES Zelda games.

All of the items resemble tools and weapons, which Link uses in his games.
Even certain tunes and melodies are similar of that from zelda, when you get for example a new tool, its exactly the same melody.

Princess’ Miya’s tiara does look like the Triforce. it wouldn’t really surprise me, if some items get changed for World 4 to change our tools a bit more to the direction of Zelda.

Currently we have

Nunchucks as Tier 2
Slingshot Tier 1
Mini Bomb Tier 1
Whip Tier 1
Torch Tier 2
Large Potions Tier 2
Wood Pipe Tier 1
Good Shovel Tier 2
Glove of Wisdom Tier 1
Motos Finger Tier 2
——

My guess for the following worlds is this:

World 3

Nunchucks > Long Sword Tier 3 (getting more powerful)
Sling Shot > Bow Tier 2 (increasing its range)
Mini Bomb > Big Bomb (bigger explosion radius) Tier 2 or exchange it to Shield Tier 2 at a Trader in a hidden place (to give us finally a way to block attacks)
Whip > Long Whip Tier 2 (increasing its range)
Torch > Oil Lamp (bigger brighter light, can slowly heal for spheres) Tier 3
large Potion > Heroic Potion > Heals now 3 hearts and makes 1 second invulnerable Tier 3
Wood Pipe > Flute Tier 2, Has now more playable tunes adding 4, 5 + 6
Good Shovel > Enhanced Shovel Tier 3, has now 25% chance
Glove of Wisdom > Glove of Courage, Tier 2, enables to push now courage stones.
Motos Finger > Motos Manteau Tier 3, puts you now for some time into invisible state too.

World 4

Long Sword > Super Sword Tier 4 (this has just to be so just obviously)
Bow > Fairy Bow Tier 3 (costs now no spheres anymore)
Big Bomb > Super Bomb Tier 3 (further increases explosion radius and power, but costs now 2 spheres per use), when exchanged for Shield > Super Shield Tier 3, will reflect back damage on block now
Long Whip > Grappling Hook Tier 3 (enables to reach with it places that can’t be jumped to when used at specific points)
Oil Lamp > Oil Lamp, no upgrade
heroic Potion > Heroic Potion, no upgrade
Flute > Ocarina Tier 3, enables tunes 7,8 and 9
Enhanced Shovel > Enhanced Shovel, no upgrade
Glove of Courage > Glove of Power, Tier 3, enables to push now stones of power.
Motos Manteau > Motos Aura Tier 4, heals now completely and makes you for 3 seconds also invulnerable, so effects like shockwaves ect. have no effect on you …

Thats what I hope will come in future

No, the game is based on retro games, not limited to Zelda.
Also your proposed upgrades doesn’t fit the picture that has been released with all future upgrades in it.
Max tier of any item is 3.
Furthermore it’s way more logic that the powerglove comes next since there already is a wall that requires it in world 2-2.
The picture is in one of the threads here somewhere, find it.

I doubt that the power glove will be next. The power up locked away in that room is tier 3.
