While I enjoy Super Adventure Box, I think there is one matter that should be addressed. And that’s these jumps that are higher than your character’s maximum jump height. I’m not fond of these. As you can see in the screenshot, my character hardly gets high enough to make this jump. But when you actually make the jump, your character sometimes still manages to land (or not). And a lot of jumps seem to have been deliberately made this way.
My problem with these jumps, is that they visibly look impossible to do (your character does not visibly jump that high), and rely very much on this awkward snap where your character still lands on the platform (or she misses). These are jumps that you can barely make. They seem to be at the maximum height of what your character can jump, which is oddly enough higher than your character visibly seems to be jumping.
I also dislike how these platforms often rely on jumping from further away, rather than as close as possible. What I mean by that is: Often when you try to make the jump, your character will hit the platform and fall straight down when they are really close. But when they are further away, their feet land exactly on the platform. And that does not make sense. The player expects a jump to be easier the shorter they make the distance. How jumping currently works is counter intuitive.
