I’ve been addicted to SAB both times it’s been released and with all the time I’ve been playing, I still haven’t manage to find a consistent way to kill assassins without taking damage. One of the weirdest things about all enemies in SAB is that most of the time they have no body hit detection, then randomly they do, so running through them is a gamble. The thing about assassins is that they love to run and they love to run through you. Just something I think should be fixed.

Circle around them as you attack. Works great for the mini boss with the glove in zone 2 as well.

Circle straffing is the key to killing assassins. Circle ‘em well and they’ll usually miss you every time they attack, since they jump at where you are, not where you will be, and the constant movement keeps them from getting a solid lock on you.

Every once in a while they’ll get a bug up their rear, run directly at you (rather than jumping before getting too close like normal) and hit you with a contact hitbox or hit you with the beginning of their jump. Not much you can do to avoid that unless you have great reflexes and can dodge if they get a little too close.

There’s a very easy way to kill them without taking damage.
Slingshot or bombs.
You can do it with nunchucks semi-easilly but it requires speed and dodging.
Bombs and slingshot really is the easiest way.

You have to line up your shot first and that’s assuming you have a good time to react.

Well, you see where they are so just aim at them and shoot them?
You have plenty of time to react unless you rush right into them, which is not in any way suggested anywhere as a tactic.
If I can do it, so can you. Takes 2 hits for the easier ones and 3 for the harder ones and a few more for the very rare special ones.
