Hello i would like to say its unfair to players which dont have enought money to buy Infinite Coin which is must have for Trib Mode.

Thx to this normal person cant end this mode beacouse after 10-15 minutes he/she will be out of Coins and then what? Grid or Nothing…

Its not the first time when event skins are almost always for grid/ paying people. Or for ppl who are lucky and get skin from chest (2% for drop -_-).

I would like to know what you think about it.

I used my 25g to buy one. I’m using it to try to finish the rapids in normal mode….

Agreeing with this.

While I’ll talk about scaling “normal” for a casual player, I’m not going to suggest ’dumbing down" the mode created for the hardcores.

Everyone that said they enjoyed Tibulation mode so far, when you look into it, you see they have the infinite coin.

I won’t lie, it was very well done ANet, it’s really game design made specifically to enhance your micro transaction sales. Or at least it looks like it.

I get it. If i buy some game I will “enjoy” game more.

But you must understand i bought this game just like you and if i dont want to pay more i should be able to play as “casual” as you. Beacouse without Infinite Coins i could only tell who play hardcore this game and who doesnt.

Who is talking about dumbing down ? The problem is you need the infinite coin to play normally. Rich =/= skill.

A casual player wont beat tribulation mode, with or without the infinite coin. If you’re willing to invest that much time into it, then you would easily have the gold required to buy the infinite coin…Because you wouldnt be casual anymore.

1) Your original investment in the game did not include this content. It did not exist at that time. Nobody has short changed you on that investment.
2) There are still other things to do in this game rather than the SAB Trib mode.
3) If you don’t want to pay extra, there are other methods to obtain Continue Coins.
4) The skins you are seeking are VANITY items not necessary to play the actual game. Skins have been sold in the Gem Store since day one, so why is buying an item to obtain said skins such a crime by ANet?

Not saying that the SAB Trib mode is not incentive for players to purchase the Infinite Continue Coin, but Anet has to make money somehow and I’d rather it be directed at content like this than mainstream game content (but I get that my view is slanted because I’ll likely never think of attempting SAB Trib mode).

This is like complaining that there’s a “Seriously, you will die” or a “New Game Plus” mode included in a game. Tribulation is meant to be punishing. The devs have said as much and Moto also says as much. If you need more continue coins, invest in a bomb and run through World 1 on normal mode. Use the bombs to open sealed secret areas, get the keys off of the mobs and open the chests. Some secret areas have 20 baubles in them, most have 5, and a fair few have 10; while the locked chests each have 40 baubles (discounting the intro chest). One run, even without the dig spots and without killing the queen bees will still get you at least 100 baubles and probably closer to 200 (there have been a couple of runs where I got tired of looking for a chest key and I’m too miserly to buy one). If you don’t skip any of the secret areas, queen bees, the chests, or the boss fights, you can nearly fill up a 500 bauble purse just in world one. It takes more time but you don’t have to be rich to do it, just dedicated.

It is absolutely not needed. You can get enough baubles for over 150 lives per day just by running world one, which takes almost no effort or time. If you think either mode requires the infinite coin, you are delusional.

Nothing stops people from using gold → gems to get the coin. If you don’t have the gold, well…I don’t have the gold for a legendary, but I’m not on the forums saying only rich people can get it. I ran like 2 invasions and got enough gold to buy an infinite coin. Anet isn’t going to give everything to every player…you gotta farm/do content to get other content sometimes. If you want nice DYES, you gotta get the gold (think: an infinite coin costs around (if not less) than an ABYSS dye!) And theres plenty of people with an Abyss dye :P

The problem with Tribulation mode is that it does NOT require skill (in most places) – It is simply trial and error. You have to follow an invisible path. There is one, and only one way that is possible – try, die, try, die, try, die try – Hey I got a bit further. Even following Dulfys video for World 1, Zone 1 I used nearly 30 continue tokens. If I had to figure out the invisible path myself it would require hundreds. Unless you spend the next 14 days farming for continue tokens you won’t have the ability to play Tribulation mode unless you want to start from the beginning every time.

While I don’t care much for the Tribulation Mode (was expecting something else), it is ok for what it is. But forcing those who actually want to play it to grind for continue tokens is just dumb. (And a hint that we should buy the permanent token)

1. Yep it doesnt include this content at release but now it does. When i bought this game there was said that i will get new content every month.
2.I understand but right now when meta is destroyed in sPvP and i need to w8 two weeks i really would like to end this mode to get skins which i like.
3.Yes there are other ways but if i remember Devs says this game will not have that much grid. If i want more Coins i will need to Grid.
4. There should be other way to get skins imo even armor skins shouldnt be sold in gemshop. Right now you need to grid a lot to get 800 gems +- 45 gold. I know for some ppl it isnt big number but i got other things to do than grid. If there is event everyone should have chance to get one skin that they want imo.

Sorry, but you are going to have to produce a Dev comment prior to release that backs up that statement or you are just not being truthful. Content updates were certainly something that was not wrong to expect, but this kind of twisted expectations and exaggerations of what was said or not said are why Devs never talk about “possible” future content.

2.I understand but right now when meta is destroyed in sPvP and i need to w8 two weeks i really would like to end this mode to get skins which i like.

So this boils down to you wanting a skin, but not wanting to pay for it. This has NOTHING to do with playing the game.

3.Yes there are other ways but if i remember Devs says this game will not have that much grid. If i want more Coins i will need to Grid.

Again, the statement about Grind is that you will not NEED to grind to play the game normally. I don’t think SAB Trib mode qualifies as normal gameplay by any stretch of the imagination.

The chance to get them is when they sell them on the gemstore. Until then, they should require some effort to obtain or they have no rarity value. Kites and Balloons are event “participation” items, not skins.

If you want to do Tribulation mode, just YouTube the guides for it…
You’ll still die, but you will die a lot less.

What people also can do is Buy Continue Coins with Bubble Baubles.
I believe 1 Bauble gives you 5 continue joins.
So completing World 1 Zone 1, would essentially give you 55 extra lives.
More then enough to complete World 1 Zone 1 in tribulation mode.

Unless the 5 coins was 3 baubles… not sure.

You still need to actually go through it the same as everyone else. It’s no different than someone who farmed World 1 and stocked up on continue coins. There’s no skill involved in getting tokens.

I actually have to agree. When I bought the gemstore item that lives completely meaningless, I was better able to appreciate the constant goofy deaths and the mistakes I made.
