Has anyone who’s still doing the SAB noticed any crossover in the different modes? I’m doing W1Z1 for the bauble bubbles for skins, and I walked into a secret room. Inside, the room is filled with harmless lava. (Here’s a screenshot) The lava is typical for tribulation mode, but I am of course in normal mode. I’ve been noticing more and more is changing in the normal modes as the date gets closer to the 30th…

Is this intentional? What is going on?

I’ve seen spike traps in normal mode before, but they don’t do anything. I’ve just assumed it was something bugging out.

I’ve insta-died at checkpoints from nothing many times in normal mode. I suspect it’s due to tribulation bugging normal mode.

Yep, yesterday I saw a no-no cloud in W1Z3 normal. It just sat there though and didn’t try to electrocute me. I guessed it was a bug.

On a similar note, I also saw the fire elemental animation in Metrica Province yesterday when the fire elemental was NOT up.

This happens because Anet uses one map for all three game modes. The game just checks what difficulty you’re in and hides / makes intangible all the objects that shouldn’t be in your current mode. You can see this happening right after the level loads.

I suspect that each object is doing this check individually, or at least they’re checking in small groups, so it’s possible for some to glitch but not others.
