So, I guess only the Weaponsmith, Artificer, and Huntsman crafting disciplines caps will be raised this update. I was hoping the Jeweler would be raised.

We are only getting ascended weapons for now, so my guess is yes.

However, they have stated we are getting ascended armour, so the 3 armour disciplines will get raised in the future.

Jeweler is more complicated though. It would mess up their current system for acquiring ascended jewellery.

It could either mess it up, or give another place to acquire those Ascended trinkets. Then again, the community outcry would be tremendous. I mean.. look at the MF outcry right now.

The ascended weapons are coming first so that’s the reason only those three crafting disciplines are raised, we can already obtain the ascended trinkets by different means but they probably want to raise the jeweler when armor becomes available.

Still I’m curious about which recipes will be available for jewelers, we already have tons of trinkets and for every stat combination (I think)… Guess I’ll just save my laurels and use them for things like crafting materials and unid dyes… Maybe an infinite cat tonic? :o

I just wish those weren’t the most boring professions to raise, for me. I’ve maxed everything but Huntsman now and only recently got Weaponsmith to 400. Why? You don’t make pretty things, like with armor. You make starter-look weapons all the way through. I’m not looking forward to 100 more points of leveling chunky wood items.

I’ll try to get Huntsman done this weekend, assuming I have enough mats; I sorta used up my inscription-making stock on Weaponsmith.

I actually like how they did it with weapons more than how they did it with armor. I liked to craft Rare gear for my characters while leveling them, and the rare armors all look the same (and I don’t find most of them aesthetically pleasing.)

Rare weapons are always different! So when you spend a lot of mats to make a particularly awesome weapon, you get a new skin each time you hit a new tier! (It just so happens I don’t find them aesthetically pleasing either, but…)

Ideally it would be a combination of both though.

We still don’t know what the 100 levels of crafted stuff is going to be, we may get entirely new skins. We’ll have to wait and see.
