Idk if i missed it or not, but Anet said that the Queen had a big surprise for us, until she got interrupted by Scarlet but we never got the speech. Unless i totally missed but…

I’d like to know that as well.
What did the queen want to announce? Got a bit distracted with lord Faren and all the champ farming afterwards. :p

She was about to announce Half-Life 3.

Oh the surprise was probably supposed to be scarlets interruption, which sadly is just a predictable no-brainer. It would have been nice if there actually had been an interesting announcement instead of just blah blah blah plot device.

My guess it is just a hook that they can pick up later… ie. just an open end or unaswered question among many others… like where did the queen actually get the watchknights and why are they overly sexualized?

The speech was a ruse to coax Scarlet out. The Queen didn’t have a speech.

Did you REALLY believe the Queen was going to give a speech ?

They just used it as an excuse to set up the whole scarlet invasions thing. We are not going to hear anything from the Queen if you ask me !

Oh and the big surprise was…Scarlet. I wouldn’t get my hopes up if i were you !
