Labor Day.

This holiday only applies to us Americans though……

I don’t see a logical reason why ANET would cater to just Americans and also change their normal patch day…

I think Anet deserves their holiday too. So 3rd is just fine by me.

Us white walkers up here in the north also get the labour day holiday as well as ’mericans. That is of course pending that our internet connections can be maintainted throughout the bitterness of the year round winter we endure here beyond the wall.

It’s just a federal holiday, they might not even have the day off, most commercial businesses are open and have sales on Labor Day. Joke thread or not, it’s not really that out there.

Yep.. I just looked it up and Canada was actually the inspiration for America to start doing Labor Day as well. They are the only two countries that do it on the first Monday of September. Others do it in October and then there is May Day too.

I think using the word “TOTALLY” like that discounts you as “grown-up” of any kind.

I would prefer it to come on Saturday, but Monday morning would work just fine.

Here in Venezuela (and I thin most latinamerica as well) does it on the 1st of may, “Día del Trabajador” (worker’s day)..

I was hoping it would come out on September 1st or even August 31st night… School/work just started (or continued) for most of the players, and the Tuesday after a 3-day weekend is a really disappointing time to get a patch. I understand the need for a regular release schedule, but if they’re going to market it as a “Back to school!” patch, it might not hurt to release it on the weekend, when people with work and school have free time to enjoy this fantastic patch :c

They could also release world 1 for the weekend since its already available/written

Even though I’m not from the US, I would totally support this move simply because it means I get to play SAB one day earlier.

Why should Arananet change their pattern for releasing updates?

Labor Day in September is mainly limited to Northern America. In Eupope it is celebrated in May, mainly May 1st.
