So I decided to check whats in world 3 and i found a npc which told me to find a lab in Rata sum and use a code he gave… then i went in the lab watched a short clip and then nothing i even went back i w3 to see if i haven’t missed anything!! Can some1 explain this to me I’m confused

I don’t want to spoiler anything, so I try to stay obscure. But your reward was the content of the clip, you should have listened and watched. You can talk to Moto afterwards, if you want, but he does not say anything interesting regarding the matter.
You should have gotten an achievement after the cutscene.

Well, the genie told you that you should destroy a machine (“the true enemy”). The cutscene shows the result of your sabotage. After returning to Moto, he said that you were kinda naive to believe someone in a game (the genie).
Thanathos, actually Moto just meant that you played too much.

You need to read the short story Shadow Box. In it you would realize that the lab you went to was the lab of his old Krewe. The kicked him out on him butt, presumably while they were trying to work on the Adventure Box. Based on what it said if you don’t leave immediately after the cut scene, it seems Moto had a tendancy of playing tricks. Moto then went on to creating the Super Adventure Box to get back on his feet, and to show up his old Krewe.
Based on the events of the story the Genie is actually some sort of ghost in the machine deal, and is sending you out to ruin the people who messed with Moto in the first place. That’s why, when you go to Moto later and say what happened he has no idea what you’re talking about and thinks you’ve been in the game a bit too long.
