If you’re going to do something like this it should at least be officially announced to give people a chance to get what they want. You can get every other weapon that was released before and even some of the backpacks, why would you restrict it when you’re going to be releasing the event again over and over and make people to do Tribulation mode and spend a hundred hours to get a set when it doesn’t even match with the other items that glow blue (minis, moto backpack, etc) or the theme of the event itself?

Also, I know you can still get the original SAB skins on the TP, but you can’t get the original backpack (so it’s impossible to complete the set) and in a few months from now when they release it again the prices will be a lot higher.

I wouldnt care if the weapons were re-released.

However i do not think the backpacks should. Its intended to be exlusive to people who first expierienced SAB. Only way it could be fair is if you give me backpacks i missed from events, like southsun i would love it for my necro. Trust me the backpack isnt that cool, its just a desire to have something you dont have, i probly wouldnt care as much as not having it about the southsun backpack if i would have it.

I am an ardent supporter of people having the opportunity to obtain skins at a time of their choosing as long as they do the content, so yes, supported.

I wouldn’t mind myself if the original skins were re-released. I’m all for certain items being limited release so that they become rare items later and identify who was here when that happened.

With the SAB skins though it just seems unnecessary. SAB skins for all!

Not true, I REALLY like SAB, it’s one of my favorite things about this game and I love the gear and it sucks not being able to have a complete matching blue set to go with my assassin mini that glows blue.

The gems on the sides are still blue too, I think they forgot to change them.

Yep. While it doesn’t look as bad on the new skin models, it shows on the recolors of the old skins, like the Super Sword’s dark blue handle, the blue bits on the backpack, the gray blue handle on the Scepter, and the blue parts on the bows.

(Admittedly, I’m not a fan of green or yellow, so I’m probably being biased by that. But in my opinion, the green and yellow variants look inferior to the originals’ blue.)

Just buy them off the TP. They are really cheap. Ive been waiting for them to go up before I sell mine but even though you cant get them anymore people seem to have no interest.

I hope they do get re-released (And I already have all the skins from the first time). I hate it when they bring something back (hate that as well, just leave the kitten thing in the game), and then remove the rewards from it. Makes me wonder what the normal rewards (i.e. non TM versions) are going to be next release with World 3.

You can’t get the backpack so getting the skins is silly to some when you cant even complete the look.

Personally it really doesn’t matter to me as I already have all the original skins I want for my mesmer from SAB debut run…save for maybe a 2nd sword but I can just buy that off the TP if I really need it. I know some people are sticklers about stuff staying limited and all but I don’t find that it really bothers me all that much. Aside from that it would seem to me that that’s sort of why they bothered implementing the different world color skins you can make through TM so that there’s a base level of skins and then “status” skins for those that want them.

As someone who got the Backpack because it was cool and because Josh made it clear there was a very good chance that the skins would not be available for the return I can say I definitely feel that they should return.

I only ever half liked the backpack. The blue didn’t go with my character who wears green. The new green backpack and gear go amazingly well with it.

I feel that all the blue weapons should return for World 3, but the blue backpack shouldn’t return until World 4 and beyond. I just think that would be better. I am also in favor of a suggestion in another thread of the return of the backpack having a different name, just so those people who want to have something exclusive can, but those that just want the skin can too.

Why not? Though, I do agree that the backpack should stay unique. I think every LS bit should have one unique item you can only get if you participate in the event. But not an entire line of weapon skins.

I can understand there being some prestigious items that are rare because they were limited to specific events, like the karka backpack and the watchnight tonic, but SAB returns over and over, and perhaps one day will be a permanent addition.

I don’t think many people at all would be against the old skins returning, especially now they added what are arguable more prestigious, skill based (or patience based), alternate SAB skins.

Yeah, I wish they would have brought the skins back, had my account hacked and those items taken and now I can’t get them back.
