The Living Story has been nothing but GLOOM AND DOOM THE WORLD IS ENDING for months now.

Are you entirely sure you’ve been playing GW2? Because with this update we complete 4 straight months of nothing but parties and festivals.

I think you might have missed the different invasions going since January. Especially June and August were harsh.

People in Tyria are living on the edge. You must be selectively blind if you don’t see that.

I assume by “invasions” you mean the Aetherblades… and you’d better be trolling if you consider that “living on the edge”. So far the Aetherblades have a kill record slightly worse than that of the grubs in Caledon forest…

Such events are an enjoy..

There must not be every stupid month a LV where you think Tyria is doomed and a dumb thread for it does appear out of nowhere wanting to destroy/change the world.

Same as there must not be every month some kind of festival that makes the game look, as if there would be 24/7 party in the fact of looking daily into the face of danger from elder dragons and other things that lurk around in Tyria wanting to destroy it…

A good mixture of both is it, that is good for the game.

It would be cool if Scarlet took over the virtual reality simulator or whatever and twisted it to teach her own lessons!!!

OP, look at the bright side: A slap in the face is better than a kick in the youknowwhat.

Having said that, I’m really glad to have SAB returning. Dragons are so terribly boring and unoriginal.

I still enjoy the game but down deep in my heart I feel the game is turning into more grind and starting to feel like a part time job than a casual game.

With the introduction of ascended weapons and soon armor and later on legendary armor skins and what not…we keep grinding everyday to get that next thing…which is starting to remind me of other grindy centric MMOs (not gonna name any)…

kitten the 2 weeks temp LS grid on top of it and you get 5-6 hours a day of just grinding for the next thing…

Quantum leap was a brilliant series!!!

No, no that other one. Quantum Leap was good, though I still didn’t like the implications of the ending.

I wouldn’t even consider it a “living story” chapter, since -thankfully- SAB has neither an impact on the story, nor any believable foundation within the game’s lore. It’s just a nice, refreshing bit of side-content that i will personally enjoy. If it had something to do with the LS, it would probably be the last nail in the coffin for a story already butchered by bad writing. What happens in the box, stays in the box. For good reasons.

Because nothing else ever happens in the world because there happens to be something else currently happening….

It’s not a “slap in the face ending”, as nothing is ending. They’re not saying “Well that was fun with Scarlet and all, here’s Super Adventure Box. Oh and we’re shutting down the servers afterwards.”

That is the single most ungrateful remark using the most twisted logic I think I have ever seen. I can understand you complaining about the time-gating issue, but how do you view the new crafting levels and equipment in a negative light? Some players attitudes are simply amazing to observe.

I’m not dissing Quantum Leap, only the last episode, and only because it left me going “that’s . . . not fair”. No, I’m talking about this other series he was in where the last episode was almost garbage from the little bit I could stomach seeing.
