Guild Wars 2

Somebody had to do it, so I figured why not me? Who needs lives anyways (both in and out of game).

No one posted about trying my Hard Mode run. Since there doesn’t seem to be anyone up for the challenge I decided to one up myself. I’ve completed each of the zones in World 1 without dying once. And the video quality is good this time!

I did 1-1 last night, 0 deaths, in 5:35. But I don’t have the computer specs to run recording software and the game at the same time.

Props to you sir. You are indeed faster and I learned some new ways to try (if I ever go back to World 1). You jump-dodge a lot more than me. I wasn’t going for speed runs honestly but I figured it would show up better on the Youtubes naming it that.

No worries. I know the feeling. Hard to find the HC crowd that actually enjoys SAB through all the complaining, which is why I posted.

AFAIK our group got the first 4-man 2-3 Trib Mode completion, and we almost got a 5-man completion, but had an unlucky DC at the end last night.

I honestly couldn’t imagine trying with a group. My last 2-3 run was about 35 minutes and hoping to get better with more runs but I don’t have any guildies I think could keep up. Props to you as well.

I’m good maybe even very good at this but you Sir are a GOD. Kudos!

Hit us up in game, we’re not quite as fast as you (only done it ~4 times personally), but we’d be glad for more company. We have a solid 4-man, and picked up a 5th last night for the attempt.

Not sure if this is possible in w2 without a massive amount of luck and patience. I’ve done runs with very few deaths in w2, but I found that getting past tribulation clouds without dieing is very hard, random and annoying.

I agree the trib cloud on W2z2 with the dart puzzle always kills me at least once if not by knocking me into darts then by attrition as it hits me enough times to die. the 2 in z3 also have a 5050 chance of killing me while I try to get past em. Dodgeing those buggers while trying to acomplish a puzzle step while skiding around like a drunken penguin on ice skates is intresting.

It’s faster than the 4:46 or what it is still it’s a pretty bad run/ you could do many things better I don’t really have the time to spend on this but you might wanna give it a go and try to beat whatever is current best time ( since I think the trick with jumping over to the honey bee isn’t that known ) I just found it out of pure fear from other Spikes if I don’t go all way up there:)

Wow, that was amazing!! It took me that long just to make it past the first initial square of spiky spikes of death. How do you have so many baubles?! And your weapon is so cool! If I didn’t play solely with my daughter I may actually be able to pursue some of this cool stuff, lol. Thanks for posting!!!

I like your shortcut. Definitely bypasses the randomness of the fake out blocks in the canyon. Crigger also found a shortcut after that that may shave off a few more seconds. I think his record is around 3:29 now. I am not really a speed runner myself. Really just wanted to have the chance to say I beat them without dying.

I’ve gotten W1 down pretty well and can run through it easily. W2 still drives me nuts though~ mainly z3. I was having trouble getting that last shop there too and gave up quickly because I was trapped in that zone for so long and sleepy and just went and killed boss. >.<

That part with the ice and millions of spikes and wind walls nearly drove me into insanity.
