Guild Wars 2

So I am in Tribulation mode with friends, which I was thoroughly enjoying, absolutely no complaints about level of difficulty.

However —- my connection crashed as I was nearing the END of the zone. As I log back into the game, after countless deaths (using my Gem Store —- Infinite Continue Coin). I am given the option to rejoin my party in what has taken more than an hour and a half to get to.

My friends are STILL IN IT. I would compare this to having a single controller on a console stop working, and having to replace it. The GAME is still up, the power in my house is still on. My friends are still playing, but I have to replace my controller.

Except guess what. The game (both Guildwars2 and SAB) want me to pretend my friends aren’t still playing the game. That my dead controller (.01 second connection loss) is going to cause me not to be able to rejoin the game. Even if I get a new controller. (Log back into the game and get asked, “Click here to rejoin your party.”)

Except when I try to rejoin I am booted out and told, “Sorry, you can’t rejoin the instance you were just in — EVEN THOUGH IT STILL EXISTS. The game is still running! But, you are no longer welcome inside.”

And even though it asks me if I would like to rejoin my party. I get a huge slap in the face, “Sorry you wasted your time and your friends who would like to play with you, now have to go on without you or decide if they’d like to start all over again. Only to wonder if Guildwars2 is capable of keeping you inside Tribulation mode long enough for the match to end.”

Difficulty I understand. I don’t want it nerfed. I want to be able to continue playing with my friends. And not be punished just because the internet is stupid sometimes. (And decides my connection needs to drop.)

I honestly would have even preferred if they forced Tribulation mode to be (1 person) single player.

Why even give us the option to play with friends. If something as lame and pathetic, as a bug in the game or a connection drop can lock us out of a run with our friends.

At least with console games, it either kicked everyone out (power outage/console crashing) or didn’t kick ANYONE out.
