W2 Z3 Trib - masochism
It took me 4 hours for a normal mode run. Now looking back, I actually think I had some fun out of it

I finished W2 Z3 last night and got my shield. Looking back, it was stressful [probably because i was cutting it close to removal] but I had fun. However I will never ever ever do W2 Z2 again that one was a nightmare.
Why were you even doing it on Tribulation mode then? I’m under the impression that the mode is designed with peoples’ suffering in mind.
I think it was fun. I somehow always have to imagine the devs and the looks on their faces when adding one of those traps and then I have to laugh. The only part I didn’t like was the way and the entrance to the Moto’s Finger shop in TM…
TM simply isn’t made for the impatient. If you like it do it, if not, stay away from it. I guess that applies to any content in GW2, not just SAB TM. There is no benefit in doing it but some achievement points. If you are a completionist, well… I guess then you have to rage through it
It really gets easier the more you run it. That said, I’m gonna miss the challenge and fun of running trib mode while SAB is away. Hopefully world 3 comes soon.
Whilst I was doing tribulation mode there was certainly a lot of “WHAT? come on, I didn’t touch that”, lots of sighing, some cursing and some rage, exclaiming how evil Josh is (yet sorta laughing about how he got me).. but.. after I’d completed it, it was a great feeling of satisfaction. So overall, yeah, I had fun.
And I’m somewhat amazed how much my jumping skills have improved after this last round of SAB.
It was too long. Even the baby mose for W2 z3 is too long to begin with. But Trib mode wasn’t as bad as I feared. The checkpoints are in good spots and the zone doesn’t require you to make dodge jumps all the time.
W2 z2 was far worse.
One Big problem was that a lot of the difficulty was front loaded. The hardest parts are at the start. Block out a 4 hour time when you will not be interrupted and push through.
Sure, W2 levels are longer, but it felt even more rewarding to me once I finally completed it. Also the whole thing felt a lot easier after the first playthrough and I enjoyed it a lot.
