Is the torch required to progress, or is there an alternate path? Our party just got to the ice waterfall but nobody has enough baubles for the torch.

I think it is required… did this in infantile mode and had to stop there. The direction it shows is directing you into the shop selling the torch and the villager is telling about it(candle not strong enough).

You need it, several times further in too.

Well, then. I think it should be free like the candle. It is kind of a bummer to have to stop now. We were having a good run.

Well it’s based on the principle of “going back and getting an upgrade before you can continue” found in many exploration games.

Luckily, I knew of it in advance so I didn’t blow all my baubles on the flute :p

I guess we’ll farm up World 1 tomorrow. I need less than 300.

Not ideal, but SAB is still pretty cool.

Only one person in the party needs it right? And that is the only item blocker we need to worry about, I hope.

Only one needs it, but that also makes that person invaluable.
I had to leave my party somewhere near the end of zone 3 (i hope at least) because of time constraints and motion sickness yesterday, so I hope the party managed to get to the end without me cause I had the only torch
