Q:
Watchwork Sprockets' usefulness
A:
As Zaphod mentioned, the Pavillion will close tomorrow, and sprockets will continue to be useful as components in crafting recipes.
However, the Pavillion will be returning at some point in the future, and presumably the vendors and their stock will return with it. So don’t worry if you miss out on the recipes or weapons — you’ll likely have another chance to buy them later!
Pretty sure Pavilion is closing. You ought to get what you want now, before the patch.
Watchwork Sprockets should still be usable for the awesome/unique recipes from this patch (like the Rune of Tormenting), so if you’ve bought the recipe you can continue to craft them.
And if you want the cultural weapons, just go buy them in the cities. The name is somewhat misleading. You could always buy any race’s cultural weapons; it’s only the armor which is limited. They’re 63k karma each, but that’s way cheaper than the gold they cost in the Pavilion.
Hope that helps clear it up for you.
Thank you for both answers.
Buying the rare boxes of gear for 30 sprockets + 30 silver is a good return of value if you get one nice rare, or even better if you get an exotic or 2 rares.

Not so sure about that…
I just used up those sprocket to bump my crafting to 450. Not regret anything though
