uh so I’m in the process of making a Legendary right now… I’m pretty close to being done. This was the remainder of my grocery list:

198 ectoplasm
108 powerful blood
155 vicious fang
236 ancient bone
110 crystalline dust
181 armored scales
120 powerful venom

THAT’S IT. THAT’S ALL I NEEDED. So when they implement this new patch on Tuesday and Legendaries get changed, I’m assuming that the requirements to make them will also change? I have my Gift of Mastery and my Gift of Bolt already — will they not matter anymore? Are all of the T6 stuff I already bought going to be completely useless to me now? Am I going to need EVEN MORE ECTOPLASM now???

I am going to throw my computer out the gd window if I have to start all over again. Help me, Arenanet!!

to my knowledge they have not announced any changes at all to legendaries other than ascended status and stat switching.

there’s no reason to think they are changing

the point of the new system is Ascended crafting. In contrast, Legendaries are all about the mystic forge…

p.s. oh and precursor crafting shrug

Alright then, fingers crossed. I think it’d be weird if it took higher quality mats to create an Ascended than it took to create a Legendary, but hey, if it doesn’t impede my progress then I won’t complain. :p

It shouldn’t change, the legendary recipe is waaaaay more than an ascended recipe.

It’s not really about the quality of the mats but the effort in getting them.
An ascended you can get in 2 weeks technically, I think a legendary might take longer :P

hopefully they change the required items for bolt just so you throw your computer out the gd window and no one has to put up with you in gw2 ever again
