I agree with OP. We’re pretty much allowed to go back and do everything else. Get the achievements, the original title, etc, but why can’t we get the backpack skin? It’s the one reason I actually wanted to go back and replay SAB and now I find out we can’t get it anymore… Guess I don’t really have a reason to play now.

Originally they said all ‘special’ skins were going to be one time deals, proof that you were “there when…”
But people complained enough they’ve backed down on that and already talked about/promised even the return of the halloween skins. So I’m sure the “complete” set will release when world 3 comes out.

Yeah, I was quite disappointed that the original weapons/backpack from SAB 1 didn’t come back (and I already have the skins I wanted, so it’s not due to any desire to get them again). Still, there’s hope that they could be brought back for a re-release; it happened with the Fused/Sclerite/Dragon’s Jade skins, after all.

If not then, then probably when World 4 is out. Thats the last one right? It would make sense.

I can see it now; “Alright everyone! Get ready for World 4! We are bringing back ALL THE SKINS! -insert meme picture here with motto’s face- To help you get those skins, we are also bringing back the non-daily account dig sites in SAB!”

That really isn’t fair…

If it was akin to the festivals from Guild Wars 1, where you got a prize simply for showing up, that would be different. But getting 20 bubble baubles was not a quick and easy thing to do.

I agree completely. The time constraints were kind of limiting and had I known that they wouldn’t be bringing back the backpack skin, that would’ve taken priority over weapon skins. I just wish that had been made more clear when they had initially said SAB was going to be coming back the first time around, before they took it down. Very disappointed.

There IS a backpack skin it’s just yellow instead of blue and is from achievements instead of currency.. big deal

You know, I wouldn’t even mind paying gems to get my blue backpack if that’s what it took. I’d brave the RNG and try for some black lion ticket scraps.

But… no. Preserving the specialness of the first edition backpacks seems to be more important than my willingness to pay Arenanet money to get one. Oh well.
