thus far i just made it to this level. last level was more of a grind than anything, i agree with most people dart traps should now be instakill, sometimes piranhas or assasins just knock you down into a trap and you insta die, some times you get knocked into the opposite direction where you should have been knocked and end up into another dart trap.

Im gonna take a break and mentalize myself for zone 3.
btw i have not yet bought almost anything aside from a slingshot and the free candle is there anything i should buy before going into zone 3?

You need to buy the better candle (the torch) for 400, but it’s in a shop in zone 3, so just save up some baubles. The rest is more or less useless.
