World 2 Zone 2 too long
Shortcut eagle is your best friend in the pain cliffs. Once you get the glove, you never have to take the long way again, unless you want the achievements…Then you need to take the long way forward, then back again.

About the darts, just pay attention to your surroundings. After being killed twice by those things (I had no idea what killed me the first time…) I started looking. There is a grid-like looking feature which does give a location away.
And yes, the shortcut eagle is your biggest friend there. Do every achievement in infantile mode, you’ll skip out on most of the dagger traps, and then take the short cut eagle to finish it off in NM.
Can you use shortcut eagle on tribulation mode?

I know about the dart/dagger boxes, there’s just a lot of them, and they are very easy to miss, especially in the middle of an encounter with an assassin.
I’ll try the shortcut eagle, thanks, didn’t know there was one.

You cannot it puts you right back at the start.
You can get 7 baubles from world 1, which should take you no more then thirty minutes.
On top of the 3 continue coins this equates to 38 coins, which is 190 lives for 30min effort. This can be done every day. There is no reason for lives to be a complaint, or seen as a grind.
At worst in trib mode you’ll spend 50 lives per zone on a bad run.
I blasted through it in about 15 min on normal without the shortcut. It’s all about knowing what to do. Expect them to get longer as that’s how most games are.
Honestly even with an ICC, I found w2z2 to be obnoxiously long. Fun, challenging, but just really long, especially since if you quit or get dced you lose all progress. Splitting it into two zones, or if the tech was available for persistent checkpoints (something which I know probably wouldn’t be added even if it was technically feasible), would have made me much fonder of it. Especially since I loved being able to see at least -some- form of Cantha.
An Officer and a Gentlewoman
We should get a code at each checkpoint that we can type into the chat window like in the old school games that allowed the save codes to continue when we enter the zone!

World 2 overall was really long. Beautiful and challenging but soooo long.
I agree. Not because of the difficulty, I got myself the infinite coin specifically for that, but because of the disconnects.
… Nothing feels quite as much as a punch to the gut as disconnecting an hour into the zone.
I with the OP. We’re not all students, some of us have families and jobs but if we want to get the achievements we somehow need to find 2-3 hours just for this zone. It’s too much when it’s actually not needed and it could have been split into two. The content is great, just give those of us who work a chance to get it.
I know there will be those out there who say they did it in 4 seconds using just a wooden spoon. I’m not really talking to them…
And while I’m about it… New events every two weeks is fantastic, but leave it available for longer – for the same reasons.

World 2, Zone 2 is far too long. And before someone responds (josh) with, “you’re complaining about too much content” I am not. The content is wonderful and deep, challenging, and complex. But these stupid continue coins being finite have done me in, I give up.
(…)
Splitting this zone into two would have been perfectly acceptable.

World 1 was so fun, it was a good balance of challenging/difficult, and I wouldn’t even have minded the higher difficulty as the zones are relatively short, I never spent more than an hour on any of them.

It took me 4 hours and 64! Continue Coins through World 2 Zone 2 Tribulation Mode and I had only one thing in my mind: “plz God, no kitten DC!”
In the pagoda, try to lure the assassins to you, on the steps. Mark your distance from the dart trap above or below you. Try to keep your back facing the wall, unless you need to side-step an attack.

You only need that 2 to 3 hours once. (gladly so!). Finally managed to find the time to get the bauble and assassin achievement there last Friday. And I’m actually glad the bauble achievement for Z3 is bugged (and not required for the meta)… Now, that one is long. And not even a shortcut available.
I had to give up W2Z2 after I started lagging. Now, I’m a patient person (I farm W1 Z1/2/3 TM for baubles) but W2Z2 is just completely nuts (I can’t even begin to imagine what it’s like in TM).
That being said, there were some really, REALLY nice puzzles to figure out there. I would enjoy them much more if they were split over two zones and I wasn’t victimized by lag/time/work/sleep/<insert IRL situation here>.
