Worst timed disconnects
I think it was a bad idea in general to have a server stressing event like Tequatl where a whole bunch of people in one area are going to create a massive lagstorm, and something like these bauble achievements in super adventure box, where if you get disconnected right at the end, you’ve just lost two hours of your life and have to do that horrible place over again. I’m not sure I’m going to be able to get these achievements before this ends at this rate…
Yeah, I’ve been at the mercy of disconnects for a few days now, but it’s been on my end (ISP fixed it today finally) rather than from the servers.
I finally completed World 2 Zone 3 in tribulation mode a little while ago. Yesterday I D/C’d near the end of the zone and I about cried lol. When I killed the Storm Wizard and looted the chest earlier, you can imagine my anxiety as I was waiting and hoping there wouldn’t be another D/C as the timer counted down to my achievement.
Wow, the guy above me. The EXACT same thing happened to me yesterday. I was at the miniboss right before end, and I had spent around 1-2 hours in total in that zone to go through every shop/treestomp for the achievement + wasted so many time trying to make the jumps, but then it all just froze.
I was about to smash my keyboard into million pieces, but doing it for the second time was rather easy, as I had nothing else to worry about other than reaching the end. Spent like 10 minutes getting back up there.
Did W2Z2 Trib Mode last night. It was horrible… And then I got disconnected just before getting to the maze. -cries-
But I refused to give up. I WANTED to get that stage done. So I did it all again… and spent nearly half an hour trying to get past the trampolines near the end due to my latency. >.< If I didn’t have my Infinite Coin, I would NEVER get past that level.
Just had a dc half way through w2z2 on tribulation mode. Why ANet can’t implement some kind of an instance grace period in case of a dc, maybe just for tribulation mode, is beyond me. Now I have to do all that again with no guarantee their servers or my router / ISP will actually let me finish.
ANet, I know you had a million requests for this feature, consider this a millionth and first. Seriously annoyed players is a bad way to do business. Next time implement some basic features to prevent things out of the player’s control from ruining hours of progress.
I just spent hours in W2Z2 trying to get the Bachelor of Baubles, Become the Master, and Bachelor of Secrets achievements. I was roughly 90% of the way done, and I dc’d. I can’t believe it. All that time and effort wasted. Not happy. There should have been a way to continue from where I was, not just get kicked without warning (and this was only to the character screen, not out of the game completely).
I dc’d just before the moto’s finger room, spent ~2 hours trying to get the baubles achievement/hidden rooms…. The client stuttered for like 2 seconds and I was at the lobby…
I wish they’d add a way to save progress. This is just sadism at its best the way it is at the moment. This is the first living story I will not complete before the deadline.
